WBPC out of New Orleans - Cancelling or Going?

If DCL sees that you shared an excursion with someone else who tests positive, you get quarantined.
Do you know this for certain? I haven't seen any reports of vaccinated passengers quarantined as close-contact from an excursion. Not saying it doesn't happen, but in several months since the restart I've only read of kids club close-contacts quarantined, and that was before 5-12 were required to be vaccinated.

No, but it's not a chance I'm willing to take. If DCL had somewhere in writing that a passenger's covid status wouldn't affect other passengers on a shared, DCL-sponsored excursion, I'd reconsider. I doubt they would ever announce that as a rule; I'd guess it's a case by case decision.

We cancelled two weeks ago. We just couldn't justify this trip, with so little port stops as well as the fear of contracting covid during an excursion and being quarantined. I am very sorry that I am going to miss crossing the canal in a Disney ship, as I do not feel there will be another, (just my opinion about no more Disney through the canal) but I am happy with my decision to save a large junk of money and go concierge on the Wish, two rooms in August. I wish everyone a great trip and I can't wait to see your pictures and hear how it is going. Enjoy your canal crossing!

The WBPC is back open for booking. Currently only showing Verandah and Concierge. If anyone can decide to drop everything for a 2 week cruise that leaves in 3 days, nows the chance. But if you don't have tons of FCC (or an enviable bank balance) act fast: Once the 7A GTY's are gone, it's a minimum of $11k.
