Regarding bringing on wine: where is the most convenient store for Miami port?

We are in a large group coming from our hotel in Ft Lauderdale via a tour bus so it will be impossible to stop before the port terminal.

Hi all

First time Disney cruiser
Pls include Dh and me in the Roll call, Secret Mickey and Roaming Mickey
I am new to replying etc so bear with me!

Just booked and no cabin # yet

Hi and welcome.:wave2:

:surfweb: as per DCL Q&A section:

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/faqs/beverage-policy/alcohol-policy-onboard/

Alcohol is permitted on board. However, any fragile items (including alcoholic beverages) must be hand-carried on board in the carry-on of an adult Guest – age 21 or older (dimensions can't exceed 22" wide, 14" high and 9" deep).

Guests who arrive in the dining room, including Palo and Remy, with a bottle of champagne or wine will be charged a corking fee of $20.00 per bottle.

Hope this helps/ Welcome Aboard!!!!

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Can some please tell me the protocol for bringing your own liquor on board. I was just drinking a glass of sangria after that awesome Raven win and realize I want to take some on the cruise too!

Thanks!

I LOVE Cheesecake Factory too. They have on in Tampa (about 45 mins away from Sarasota, where I live.) What is your favorite dish? The menu is so big I always like to hear what other people order.

My fav dish is the Chicken Bellagio, coming in a close second is the Chicken Stuffed Tortillas.:cloud9:

Hi Liz,
Looks like we go to the same Cheesecake Factory--as we also live in Sarasota !

Still Waiting For An Answer To This Question??
Can someone point me to an updated DIS rollcall? I checked the one on the original webpage site and find that it hasn't been updated with the new cruisers and many of the old cruisers who are no longer on this cruise are still on that list.

If you all would like to have a roll call on this thread, I can add it to the second post on page 1. It would be great if you all could help me out and pm me with what info you wish to be included in the roll call, then I will update it as the pm's come in. It is easier for me that way than scanning through the old thread, plus many people who posted on the old thread seem to have dropped out of the cruise by now.

I can certainly organize a recipe exchange. I was thinking to do it kind of like a FE exchange, everyone can pick appetizer, main or dessert (or multiple if they wish) and then print out a copy to give to everyone else? or is there another way this is usually done that works better? I'm open to ideas, and also to see if there is enough interest :thumbsup2

On one of our cruises, we each had postcards that we used to put a recipe on the back. That way, you knew where people were from and then had a recipe to share! I'm from New Orleans, so I put my family's Jambalaya recipe on ours the last time! ;)

I have a scavenger hunt organized that can be done during the cruise. If you're planning a different one please let me kne. No point in having two of them...

The one we did for Hawaii was given to us early in the cruise and you just took your own time and turned in the results at the end of the cruise. If you have another one, then that would be GREAT too!

The only rule that I know is that you have to put it in your carry-on bag. I always bring a bunch of airline size bottles with me of Bailey's. I'll add them to hot chocolate or the chocolate smoothies - YUM! I've also had several cruisemates that brought several bottles of wine on the ship and then brought the glasses to dinner each night.

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :)

Have a great cruise!

To all ROAMING MICKEY participants:

We have now 24 cabins and I will close the sign-ups. 24 cabins/14 days means magnet need to travel 2 cabins a day, so I think this is optimal. If we have more we have a chance magnet will not travel to all the doors!

Reminder: There is another roaming magnet being organized "JESSICA RABBIT" and I'm sure sign-ups are still open. This one is organized by vz9p57 so please send him a message.

Can't seem to find the answer to this...will we have to select a port arrival time in Miami?

Yes you select a time. 11 am was the earliest when I did our online check in last week.

I don't think those who are platinum choose a time though.

I have started a Roll Call in the second post ... please PM me or reply on the thread to be included!

That saves me from looking through the whole old thread, makes sure that only people who haven't dropped out are in the roll call, plus you can give me exactly the info you would like to see posted in the roll call.

Ok all... what port excursions are you going for (if any)

Cartagena: Private driving/walking tour

Puerto Vallarta: Historic Towns & Tequila Making

Cabo San Lucas: Sport Fishing

Since we are sailing with kids excursions will be more beach/pool kind.....

I thought the PV Historic tequilla making wasn't being offered.

Any Gold/Platinum people know?
