Hello! I have took the WBI yesterday for the application to the Disney College Program, and it said I did not make it to the next step in the application process (phone interview). So I called the number and the lady I spoke to reset the interview for me, so I could try again. She said it will be available today at 4. She did not give me any pointers or reasons why I had failed in the first place, just told me to answer truthfully (which I did the first time).
Can anyone on here give me some pointers?
i.e. Is it better to select a 10 or a 1 instead of a 5? Is it better to strongly agree or strongly disagree with something than be neutral? Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

Yes, answer in the extremes (1 or 10, strongly agree or strongly disagree, etc). Neutral does not count. Answer as honestly as possible while using that parameter and you should be fine.

I would also say to answer in extremes but read the questions CAREFULLY! They ask the same question a few different ways and if you answer differently every time they will think you aren't consistent. Also take your time. It is timed but make sure you don't just click and move on, also breathe!

Thanks! I just finished my WBI and got a phone interview set up for next tuesday! I am so excited!
How was your phone interview?
Thanks again :)

One week means you can prepare for it longer but oh gosh the nervousness. Had that with mine LOL. Just make sure you know the roles that you're applying for and your enthusiasm (smile) to be a part of Disney. They asked me a lot of questions about different roles I selected and how I would preform in certain situations.

:cheer2: Good Luck! :cheer2:

How long did you have to do the WBI after you watched the Online Presentation?

When I was a CP 2 years ago we did not have to do the WBI and my brother is about to start the BWI since he has already done the Online Presentation but I told him he might be better off to wait until tomorrow after he has worked a double shift today and might be too tired.

Are you given like 24 hrs to do the WBI after you watch the Presentation?? If you pass it, are you given a number to call to set up an interview?

When I did it 2 years ago, you watched the Online Presentation and then got a number to call for your interview..this seems so crazy now that they are able to reset a test for you to retake..seems kinda like a silly process to me!

Thanks!

Well it turns out that the reason I failed the WBI is because I took it on safari and it has to be completed on ie. If you aren't on ie a message pops up saying the test SHOULD be taken on ie but will work on safari, google chrome, and firefox, but apparently that is wrong. The lady I spoke with on the phone said if you didn't take it on ie you will fail.
I watched the online presentation last night and it gave me a code to fill out the application. After I finished the application this morning, I took the web interview but it said I failed. So I called the lady, she explained the ie nonsense, I took it again this afternoon, and passed. In fact, it said I was STRONGLY SUITED to be in the WDW CP. Then it gave me a phone number to call and set up a phone interview. When I called they had to verify all this stuff to make sure I passed, filled out the whole application, etc. Then they gave me a time frame (they are booking about 2 weeks in advance, but someone had just cancelled for next tuesday, so she gave me that one). Asked me my time zone, and told me what time they would call. Then I had to listen to a message telling me how to prepare, what to have on hand, and how long it should last, etc.
Hope that helps!

As for how long after you have your watched the e-presentation can you take the wbi. It says within like 72 hours or something, but really you can wait as long as you like. Also the longer he waits the longer away his phone interview will be. However, if he waits until tomorrow that will be perfectly fine!

My interview went really well. I interviewed in January so I was at the very beginning. I recommend that you let them know how much this means to you. I told her how when I was in High School we did the Magic and Music days parade at the Magic Kingdom and how that was the most magical experience of my life. Being able to go backstage and be an honorary "Cast Member" for the day was amazing! If you have any personal experiences I would suggest you throw them in there when they ask about you because they love to hear about how Disney is special to you! Also don't forget to SMILE!!! If it helps sit in front of a mirror during your interview because if you can see yourself smiling (or not smiling) then it will help you remember to! I hope this helps you a little!

Thanks!! I'll let him know!! I think he uses IE anyways but I use Firefox so that would have been an issue for me! lol.

Good Luck! It was a great year and 1/2 that I spent there!

Okay great! I'll let him know that although he watched the OP already so he prolly knows about the 72 hours. I think he would be smart to do the WBI tomorrow morning or afternoon since he's off all day!

He interviewed in the spring last year and was accepted for Photopass but had a notations on his record from poor drinking choices in college and they told him they could not have him work as a CP until the record cleared which finally did a few weeks ago so now he is reapplying so hopefully he can get through this WBI and then do great on the phone interview again!

thanks lala88!
I do have an experience like that- my first trip to Disney World was when I was 7 and we went for free with Make a Wish. It was such a great experience! I wouldn't have even thought to mention that!
Thanks so much everyone!

I'm not so sure about that browser thing - I took mine on firefox and passed without issue.

I used IE jic...when I went through the acceptance process I used Safari and got an error. I'm guessing they have less issues with IE than the other ones.

My brother took the WBI today and he passed!! He has an interview next week :) I'll be happy to see him follow in my foot steps!!

Just as someone who has filled out a lot of those questions, yes I recommend not picking neutral when you can, you don't have to STRONGLY (dis)agree, but I find they don't like neutral.
Good luck on the interview! I did the WBI last Tuesday and interviewed tonight. I've been all over the nervous scale, now I have to wait for the response.
The main thing is to have your favorite roles ready, I picked a bunch on the app and she said that helped. Still I had 4 that I mentioned specifically in the phone interview, so hopefully I'll get one of those.
