We are not big elevator people and wondering if anyone has stayed in a lower floor unit? What has your experience been like?

I've stayed at WBC twice and had a first floor parking lot view unit in building 5 actually first room in the halls... It was fine my first room was right next to the arcade and I really never had any noise problems, you could hear people coming down the hall but thats about it. The second stay was exactly the same room on the opposite hallway but a 2 bedroom unit .. I never heard a thing.... Bothe were super convientient after a long day in the parks...:)

Did you request the ground floor rooms? Were they happy to accomodate you, or give you grief?

My first stay they put me on the 8th floor and like you I hate elevators so I asked and they moved me... I think I probably had the least desirable rooms but I didn't care.. My second stay I got the room for super cheap and that's where they put me which was fine with me.

They seemed put out by my request the first time but oh well. I just told them I was claustrophobic and hated elevators.

We have a son who is autistic. He's a climber and we are always fearful of upper level rooms with balconies. I know Disney Saratoga Springs has always been accommodating.

I find more folks want the upper floors so Bonnet Creek has given me first floor rooms on 2 trips. Now that Bonnet Creek has become so popular they have limited ability to move folks around. It appears that the front desk is less accommodating but I prefer to think they just don't have the availability. I would like to think that when you explain the reason for the first floor - safety of your child - not just your whim - that they would do their best to find you a first floor room.
