I was going to break up our DL trip by a day at Universal, then from looking at the boards it seems WB Tour is a much better tour (and we don't really care about the theme park aspect of Universal). A few questions

My 9yo son is a HUGE Big Bang Theory fan - he even dressed up as Sheldon for Halloween haha!

Is there a better day (weekday vs weekend) or time to book the tour to give us a better chance of seeing that set? If YOU toured the set on your tour - what day of the week was it?

Is there any transportation to the studios from Anaheim or is it best to rent a car?

Anything else in the area to visit before or after the tour? We'll have gone to the beach for a day already...

Went in September but don't remember seeing the set. You do get to see the Friends coffee shop. Probably would need to rent a car. We did the walk of fame and Grauman theater the same day.

I have done this tour twice and we saw totally different things.Once we begged and got to see Big Bang and second time had DD and friend and they wanted to see pretty little liars and we got to see that set. There is some luck to it but certainly when tour guide asks tell him you love BB and please, please can we see it.Maybe you get luck here.

The way this works is that each show is a full sound stage and there are like four or five rooms in a row. There are bleachers that run the length of the five rooms. When they are shooting they shoot a scene in one room like the shared apartment and then move to say the cheese cake factory set, etc.

At any rat the first time we got an amazing guy who had wrote a book about Warner Bros he was amazing and he asked for permission for Big Bang. The second time we got Ms. Company Policy and she wasn't nearly as personable. We did get to see them filming a Super Bowl commercial it was Mathew Broderick in a Honda and the second time PLL was filming up the street.

We also went to Santa Monica afterward and they were actually filming Sharkanado so we got our two seconds in the background. At any rate we had a lot of fun both times.I would work in the Hollywood sign, Manns and then hit Warner Bros.We had time for a quick bite our tour was like 1:00pm or so.We hit Santa Monica afterwards and then a rush hour that part wasn't fun.We made it back by the end of happy hour at Embassy suites.

Absolutely buy your tickets ahead of time it sells out pretty quick.

$5.00 off here.

At the end of our tour, they were handing out tickets to the Conan show later that day.

I know a couple of the ladies that were with our tour were going back that day to see Ellen.
