as of now we have a ressie at BLT for the end of Jan

while I know its too early to book FP+ I thought you could go I think it was 10 days in the future

just to get a feel for things

but now when I try it says I'm too early and have to link hotel to MDE

which is another thing I don't remember how I did it

so any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks for any tips

Do you have tickets? Are they part of a package?

I just tried again since now I found my confirmation # and now it says ressie cannot be located as entered

I know I have right # since I wrote it down a few weeks ago when we changed to BLT

so confused

no we don't have tickets yet--just the hotel--actually last year our AP was still good so that's probably why I could see the FP+ now but now I'm confused with not being able to link the hotel

How did you book your reservation? I would call and ask for confirmation of your reservation number. You will not be able to see FP+ availability until you have valid ticket media linked in your MDE account.

As mentioned, you don't need a resort to book FPs, but you must have a valid ticket attached to your account to reserve FPs or see availability. The ticket won't be activated until you use it the first time, so you don't need to worry about linking it to your account and losing days on the ticket.

You would be able to practice making fastpasses if you bought a ticket and linked it to your MDE account. It can't be a package ticket, it has to be a ticket that you paid in full for if you want to see fp availability before the 60 day window opens. You can buy a ticket from Disney without making it a package, you just have to do it carefully by going through the ticket section of the website, not the resort reservation section. Or you can buy a ticket through a ticket vendor.
