I might be a total noob for asking this, but I know there will be experts here who can give some solid advice.

I'll be visiting the World on Monday, August 7th only. I only have time / money to visit one park, and I've chosen Animal Kingdom because I really want to experience Pandora. As we all know, this is peak summer time and you get the least bang for your buck with a one-day ticket. Is there any way to get a discount off of that admission price? (Yes, I'm freshly out of college and looking for full-time employment, therefore a total cheapskate.) And if not the admission price, how about food inside the park?

Let me know your thoughts and opinions! :)

There are no discounts that I'm aware of for a 1-day ticket. Going one day, there is no way to get a discount on food, but Disney does allow guests to bring food and beverages in their bags. You can get & fill free water cups at counter service restaurants. There is also a McDonalds within the gates of Disney property, btw.

I don't know of any way to get a discounted 1-day ticket. But they can be bought from Disney with discounted gift cards. There is a whole thread on ways to get Disney GC discounted. 5-10% discounts can be had easily. Discounted giftcards can be used to purchase food (and souvenirs) too. Though packing lunch and snacks would still be considerably cheaper.

we are visiting for one day soon.... I bought discounted disney gc last time Bj's had a sale (online) and just buying at the disney site- saved about 10% off just cash at the gate I guess..... as far as food, my DS would rather stay home than not eat his favorite bbq at Animal Kingdom! so I have no ideas there unless you pack your own lunch in
