ways to remained signed in to MDE on iphone or fingerprint access?

I think I have an iPhone 6. Prior to updates since last yr, never had to re-sign in every time when using MDE before to modify or view FPs. I don't see where you can check box a way to remain signed in. Nor do I see an option to add fingerprint access within the app under settings, or under phone settings. Wife's Samsung Galaxy remains signed in. Just looking for a work around for quicker FP access. Any tips would be appreciated.
