Ways to know you're obsessed with DISNEY...

Here's my list.
Disney checks and Credit cards
I have a Disney Kitchen
I collect Disney crystal figurines
All my Disney pins are on Display
If I'm not physically at Disney, I'm planning Disney (Look at my countdown)
We are getting a puppy in Sept. we are naming it Mickey (boy) or Minnie (girl)
My husband is on the treadmill right now as we speak, with his headphones on, running to Disney theme park music!!!

Is there a cure??? (Don't tell me... I don't really want one!)

Hmmm . . . there can only be a "cure" for a "problem". I haven't read anything here, so far, that is a problem.

If you think it is a problem, please, say it isn't so! :)

you also know you are obsessed when you go to the camping threads here on the disboards to check the movie schedule and, since you are home and not in Fort Wilderness, you play the same movie that night in your own living room.popcorn::

I can relate to a lot of these. I was obsessed with Disney as a young child, but we never were able to go. When I got married, we went the summer after we were married in 96. DH wasn't into it then. I convinced him to go in 03 with our then 3 daughters. We stayed for a week at CSR. We came back in 06 with our 4 daughters. Somewhere between last June and this May, DH decided we should look into DVC since we had toured in 03...now I have 230 OKW pts. to obsess over.

I have Disney Checks and checkbook
I have Disney things on my van. (antenna topper, Key to the Magic Kingdom hanging from the mirror along with a pic of us at Chef Mickey's and Beaker...I love him!
I have Disney bags for a diaper bag and pool bag.
Only Disney beach towels
Our downstairs unfinished bathroom will be a mickey bathroom
Mickey garden statue in our front yard
When people I know are going to WDW that usually think I'm a bit obsessed, they call for planning help from me!
My students always want to tell me their Disney stories since they know I'll be interested.
I'm always looking here, TGM, Allears,mousesavers....Every day!

I could go on and on with mine...

-Join DVC so you have an "excuse" to go to WDW 3 times a year.

-Consider getting over a major psychological problem with flying because you get there faster.

-Consider buying a hybrid so it didn't cost as much in gas if we don't fly - I have two SUVs and a sports car so I'm not very green with fuel efficiency yet and that bothers me!

-Can spot Hidden Mickeys anywhere from the mud print your dog made to the spots of grease at the body shop.

-Take every second you have to get on this board and read, read, read.

-Decide that designer jeans really aren't important anymore - your vacation is better.

-Ride past the piano bar in your home town and think your in POFQ for a second.

-When your mom asks if you're going straight home (after work) and you tell her not until Jan. with a frown (DVC.)

-You set Mickey on your desk at work to remind you WHY you work :lmao:

-You try to plan a pregnancy around your reservations! I don't want a doctor telling me I can't go :rolleyes1 ! I'm aiming for a delivery in late March/early April so that I'd only be around 6 or 7 months in Jan 08 and then I could take my one month old in may lol! (Hey my mom did it, so can I!)

-When a customer comes in and talks to me about Disney and they ask if I did all the parks or just Disney World and I go in to my long spiel correcting them that they really mean Magic Kingdom or all four parks!

-When you don't even worry about your time spent in the parks, heck, you just want to be in the resort for a week! Where else can you go, see a million different countries or themes, not see your car for a week, and forget you have a second life at another place?!

I could go on and on and someone mentioned that after you come home for a few months you say "Last week at this time I was ____ at Disney" and so on then as soon as you book again, the countdown starts for "In 7 months I'll be ____ at Disney!"

...when you're ready to move to FL. I'm 34, my husband, 38 is in law enforcement & can retire in 5-6 yrs. & we're throwing around the idea of moving near Disney. We live in SC now. I make more $ & i'll be giving that up. But-we're serious! Are we crazy? :confused3 :rotfl2:

Hey! We're in SC and are moving to FLorida!!! We're going to Tallahassee for a new job for hubby, but who cares, we will be FLORIDA RESIDENTS, 3-4 hrs from Disney........enough said!!!! It's all the insentive my kids needed to get on board about this move!!!!! I need to change my ticker, we will be there by July, whether my house sells or not. Fellow DISers, please send some pixiedust: "pixie dust" my way that the right person comes along and wants my house!!! Right now the only thing that keeps me going is my "Girls trip" in November!!!

you know you're obsessed with disney when you're named after the mouse himself!!
(my real name is mariclaire, my mom thought that was too long for a baby and called me mickey, and it stuck! now its the only name i'll go by!:lmao: )

cant wait till august:cool1:

-You set Mickey on your desk at work to remind you WHY you work.

Boy, oh, boy, this one sure hits home!

I'm a Roman Catholic Priest and in my parish office I have more pictures of Mickey and the gang than I do of Jesus and the saints! :)

(I'm hoping that there's a monorail in heaven!)

I am a roman catholic and I think Mickey should be made a saint:rotfl2:

That is so funny! When I was little I'd ask my Grammy what heaven looked like and she'd ask me what I wanted it to look like! I'd always say "Dissy Woold" and she'd say "Well that's EXACTLY what it will look like then and Jesus will be the first CM to greet you there!!" Funny how things like that stick with you 25 years later!

All these relate to me in some way......DBF however wants me to point out that you know your obsessed with Disney when the idea of liberating large quantities of LGMHPC from HD seems perfectly normal!:lmao:

I can relate to everyone of these posts. Everything I wear has some kind of Disney on it (socks, shirts, shorts, PJ's), my kids do too. I have Disney in my house (bathroom, kitchen, kids rooms). In my car, the only music I listen to is Disney (my DS fav right now is Lilo & Stitch soundtrack). My tree at Christmas is a Disney tree with a Tinkerbell top (bought at Disney). Can you really have too much Disney stuff? I don't think so.

 :dumbo: :figment: :goofy: :mickeyjum :tink: :tigger:

DW and I are definitely Disney obsessed!

We have a Hidden Mickey chandalier in our dining room.

We both listen to park music and ride audio as often as possible.

We talk about WDW way more often than we should.

And we rearranged our entire family budget - in many large, as well as small, ways - just to make sure we'd be able to go see the Mouse at least once a year for the foreseeable future!

"Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor mantengense alejado de las puertas!"

This is the COOLEST thread. I see a little of myself in all the obsessive traits, especially the countdown to and from our Disney vacations. We were there in October and in June, I'll still be saying 8 months ago today we were at Epcot dining at Coral Reef. :guilty: :sad1:

I've got the Disney Visa, the Mickey and friends checks, reading on here every chance I get (to get good intel as my DH says), the clothes, the antenna toppers, the keychains, the LGMHPCs, Disney beach towels (and a larger part of my DD's wardrobe~!), honeymooned there though my DH thought I was nuts (he's got onboard immediately after arriving there), etc.:lmao:

Saw a van at Sam's recently that was SOOO done up with Disney stuff, including the license plate. I, of course, was jealous and envious. My 16yo DS, who loves Disney, but right about now is thinking his mom is a total nutball. He saw that van and was proud of me! Thinking his mom isn't as bad as he thought, til I told him that I would LOVE for our van to look like that! You should have SEEN the look on his face :sad2: !

I'm so glad there are so many other obsessed Disney fans. Just reminds me that I'm normal, in my own special way! :upsidedow

You open the internet to look up a word in the dictionary. You go to your address bar to type in "dictionary" dot com and instead type in "disney"... :mickeyjum

Yes I admit, I just did that! :rolleyes1

party: Less than 2 days before we are at WDW.... wheeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! pixiedust: pixiedust:
I know I have lost it. At a Sunday dinner a few weeks ago I saw a hidden mickey in the ice in my cup. My adult children think I have lost my mind. LOL I do look for hidden mickeys everywhere---you never know when you might see one.
I also know I am seriously addictied because it doesn't matter what the subject is we are talking about I can always relate it to disney. LOL
Is there a better thing to be addicted to? NO NO NO NO NO NO LOL
