So many people have been complaining about the brutal heat we should make a list of places to go where they can escape. You can go on a water ride but a lot of people don't like to get soaked. Here are some I can think of right off the bat that are enclosed so the line wait is out of the sun and/or air conditioned:

USF
Terminator
The Mummy
MIB unless it's a massively crowded day
The Horror Makeup Show

IOA
Hulk
Dueling Dragons
Spiderman
Cat In The Hat
Poseidon's Fury

Plus there are restaurants in both parks and you can duck into the various shops. Feel free to add others I've forgotten.

Stay onsite and return to the resort for some pool time.;)

The misting fans spread around the parks help also!!

A nice watering hole for adults is Chez Alcatraz located in the New York part of the studios has the fans and a great place to relaxe for abit from the heat..:thumbsup2

Isn't there a water play area for the kids, right behind Woody Woodpecker?

Oh, and if you don't want to get soaked on a water ride, you can always wear a poncho, it saves you from being drenched, but still cools you off :)

I stood for quite awhile in front of the mister/fans near Ripsaw Falls while hubby and son got drenched (3 times in a row!!)....

then the leg rash came the next day from my son...he was in pain! That's one thing I can't hack is getting wet just to get blisters on my feet or a rash in other parts just to keep "cool"...easier just to walk around in the A/C!!

I know...no fun, huh

Don't forget Disaster and Twister, and also the dinosaur area in Jurassic Park (the name escapes me). Plus the misting fans that seem to be everywhere are great! I really enjoyed walking under those.

Disaster and Twister have large parts that may have shade but they aren't air conditioned, plus they have sections where everybody squeezes in, creating extra body heat on top of everything else. They are fine once you get inside, tho.

Just about every ride and show has shaded lines and fans but in July/August heat it's not much help.

I know that most people don't want to get soaked, but one day I was chasing after my kids in the Curious Geroge Play area and some "nice man" decided I looked overheated and cooled me off with a blast of water. At first I was pretty pi$$ed off, but it did cool me off and I went on to have a blast with the kids in the water that day. Now I make it a point to "play" there every trip.

add ET and the Lucy Tribute to the studios list.

shrek has fans and a cover for those in line.
same for jimmy neutron
