I am talking about their 24 hour party. It was incredible. I don't know how they managed it. We left Pop at 5:15 am and the line for the bus was hopelessly stretched across the whole front of the pop building. We almost went back to bed but then---3 buses pull up and quickly load everyone at once. The cm's checking tickets flew us into the park magically fast and then the weirdest thing happened. The crowd was absorbed somehow and none of the rides, including mine train, had lines. Maybe everyone was stalking frozen characters but it was really magic. I can't believe they did it.

Awesome! So want to do this one day! How long d'you last? the whole 24? :)

We were staying at POP also! But we drove into MK.

Had an awesome time - now our 3rd 24 Hour party with hopefully many more to come! Each time we have stayed the whole 24 hours, NO napping/resting at all, and only a couple cups of Starbucks! But we are a rare breed - very busy goers who normally get by on little sleep (not really a good thing but helpful in this case! LOL!!! :rotfl2:)

The 24 hour Events are seriously the most fun I've ever had in my life! Can't wait til next year!! :goodvibes

It was truly a magical time, not sure if I missed the crowd or if I was just really lucky but my longest wait was 45 minutes (Space Mountain) for the entire event (and I met Anna and Elsa!!)! I hope to be able to do it again next year!!

I would love to do this, unfortunately it is hard to calculate due to so many snow days at school. I live in KY and our kids just got out on Friday. They were scheduled to get out on the 18th.

Wow! It sounds amazing. I'm definitely not one who could last the full 24 hours, but I love the idea of it and hearing about it.

We returned to pop at 10pm after the fireworks. What a fun day and managed very well.

Did the park ever close for capacity?

I'm thinking of this next year and tentatively (most likely permanently who am I kidding lol) booked the Dolphin.

I worry that if I was to take a midday break that I'd come back to a closed park.

Anyone experience this?

I'm already planning on being at Disney next year for hopefully another 24hr event. My family really wants to attend one. Planning on arriving either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning before Labor Day then going home on Labor Day (will be taking DS out of school for 3 days). Will rent DVC points from friend and asking her to put room on hold at her home resort at 11 month mark just to make sure we have a room. We want to be the people making funny faces at the live webcam instead of watching it at home!

For any of you who have gone to the 24hr event I just have a "curious" question..

Let's say you have a MYW regular multi-day ticket - no hopper. So you go to 24 hr event at open and swipe your ticket. Stay for a good part of day then decide to go back to room to get a bit of rest and come back to park AFTER midnight to be there until closing.

When you re-swipe your ticket for re-entry after midnight does it count as a new day or same day on your ticket? Let's say you stay in park from after midnight until 6am. Then go back to your room and rest. Then that evening you want to go to EPCOT...will you be able to swipe your ticket with no problem? Will it read you ticket as if it's the first time your entering park that day?

Just curious...I'm assuming they change something in their programming to allow re-entry after midnight without affect your ticket...

ALSO...during that 24 hr event did anyone venture to another park during the day? And fi so did you find it to be very low in crowds?

We also LOVED the 24 hour party!!! Got there at 6 am, and had ridden every single ride by noon. Left the park for Epcot, made it back for parade, and finished all the shows. Fun Fun Fun!!!!

Disney considers from park open to park close as a day rather than actual hourly time of the park. It would still count as one day if you did this. You could really show up at 5 am and it would still count as one day.

No, the park never did. We did Hollywood Studios for a couple hours in the afternoon. That park was still crowded for SW weekends even with the 24 hour event. The crowds didn't bother us at all. The 24hr event was some of the most fun that I've ever had! I cannot wait for the next one. Dancing in front of Cinderella's Castle at 4:00 am was truely magical.
