You really read all 51 pages? Wow! Talk about dedication. Keeping up with this thread, even on a day-to-day basis has become quite a feat and I can't imagine taking it from page one.

can't forget Jason... me and champagne for some reason don't mix... for some reason 1 glass = complete a total drunken stupper... hmmmm... might be cheaper that way.

Joe is on his own because i never know what he is going to bring!

It's vacation... I may just go naked... Oh but on formal night i will at least wear a tie.

Tom-- First it is a father's duty to teach the children the proper use of "sentance enhancers" when my daughter was 2 she thought that power outlets were called "sonofa*****es" after observing my trying to wire the basement.

Ahh fully understand the adventures of discoverying electricity. Me, I gave up, grabed a beer and hired someone else to do it.

My children have learned some colorful metaphors while watching me drive.

Second, remember that as men we are only allowed to drink fruity drinks when next to or on the ocean ( I mean I'm OK with my fruity dirink side, but the guys at the office don't need to know )

I didn't think men used the word fruity.. let alone drink a fruity drink.

Didn't you guys ever watch the out-takes from the Pirates of the Caribbean DVD?

In the scene after Jack Sparrow is stranded on the island and he's looking for rum, they had planned on showing him finding a bottle (of rum) and mixing up a round of strawberry daiquiris for Elizabeth and himself. It just never made it past the cutting-room floor.

Daiquiris are the drink of choice for pirates on the high seas!

Well Ryan, I went to an all-girl high school and there were many more Jennifer's than Ryan's there. Of the 150 of us in my graduating class there were almost 30 Jennifer's and the majority of those were "Jennifer Lynn" (myself included, obviously)

(and Jason, i will admit that i am going to go pop Pirates of the Carribean in to the DVD player to watch the out-takes for that scene! i love anything daiquiris)

And to my fellow tanners/burners .... the %&(# thing got me too!!! I went last night into the stand-up tanner for 10 minutes and i am a bit ... ummm... toasty! Will now take a few days off before going back again. (i had started on saturday for 6 minutes, then monday for 8 minutes, then yesterday for 10 minutes)

Reine, still have my fingers crossed for you!

Happy Hump Day to one and all!!! This thread gets more fun and exciting every minute! Just when I think we have outdone ourselves in the humor department someone else joins in to add to the fun! This is going to be a GREAT cruise!

Jason--We are glad you are on our cruise as well! The bra-flinging-lush is just waiting to show you all how to PARTY! And monkey..well he's just a comedy show waiting to happen! After all of these years he still cracks me up...so....be prepared!

Amber--I know we are rowdy here I can't imagine getting us all together in one contained place...oh how the people who don't know us are going to wish they did! What's that song by Venga Girls..We Like to Party?? LOL That's our new theme song! LOL at the space thing! You saying about the heat being dry made me laugh. We saw a comedian once (I think it was on a Carnival cruise) who was talking about just completing a comedy act in Vegas and how he was still sucking down water to replace all that he lost while in Vegas and how the "locals" said something like Yeah it's hot but it's a dry heat! LOL He said "Yeah like dry heat makes me feel any better..it's still 120". Anyway that was hilarious.

Reine--Hope you hear from DD soon! At this point in my life going a few days NOT hearing from Tanner would be so nice! But I'm sure in a few months I'll start feeling that way a little too! (seems out of the question right now as he is YELLING at the top of his lungs about he can't find his shoe) but I'm sure it will happen! I check the cruise.com website and they still show 6053,6101,7500,5632,5128 and 8010 open. We tivo'd the dcl travel channel and I plan on getting my "fix" today while the boards are quiet once again! I think we officially opened the

As for the cabins changing numbers I've noticed that as well. I don't know if it's because of the upgrades or what...but as long as there is still availability we're happy right?

Allison...Ok..well if you really truly don't have a picture then I guess you will have to find US on the ship since you've seen most of us!! I GUESS I'll let you off the hook...but you better find us on this ship or I will "stalk" you on here afterwards!

Julie--You are SO funny! I was dying at your day yesterday! I've done that in the past. I am impressed with your dedication and am excited that we have another possible member for our addiction group! I am still laughing over your "damnit" sayer! My kids were asking me yesterday all about "swear words" and I was giving them the "low down" on origins like what a ***** really is...haha! Figured if they are going to enhance sentences they should enhance them correctly right??? I still can't believe you read 51 pages...YOU GO GIRL! SO happy to have "met" you now! Just wait til 2 weeks from Saturday...your kids will have a whole new set of vocabulary from our kids! JUST KIDDING!!!

Sorry to hear you got burned! Apparently I started a revolution on tanning bed burns! LOL I am going this afternoon when the kids get home...I'm sure I'll get fried again! I'm keeping it at 10 min still though..just not ready for another burning butt!!

In 17 days we will all be meeting and it's going to be so much fun! We need to figure out what we are going to wear or how to identify those who WANT to be identified.....until we get Jason's nametags or whatever!!

Say, is anyone here a mojito fan? Not that we don't already have a plethora of drink-talk going on here, but I just had a terrific mojito the other night and thought, this would be a perfect cruise drink!

Tanning bed gals, 3 words: spray on tan! Has anybody tried the tanning mist? My friend did it for her wedding and looked great, might help you guys avoid painful burns! I'm ouching in sympathy every time I read one of the burn posts! Personally, I gave up trying to absorb any color-- but you can find me in the dark because I glow, kind of a nuclear pale!!

I have to check in and defend my honor (what little I have left), I was the bartender, I had to try the Konk Cooler, it wasn't like I had my pinky up or even enjoyed it, it was just something I had to do. BTW it was pretty good if I do say so, now on with the manly talk (arg, arg, arg), I am with DisneyJam whiskey, vodka and heck we live in Michigan I been know to have a shot of grain alcohol every so often.

Ryan, I want to apoligize up front, because I know that when I see you I am going to have to yell out " HEY MONKEYBOY I NEED A DRINK DAMNIT".

DisneyJam, I am a little worried about the naked thing, but on formal night with the tie would that be a bow tie and where would you be wearing it?

Hey all...finally an active day on this thread! I LOVE IT!

Amber--ROFLMAO at the scurvy cure!! That's a great idea!!! Add the mojito to another drink I haven't tried...hot damn more liquor to add with the cuvee, konk kooler, bushwackers, guavaberry, and now mojito's! Vacations rock! LOL I am so going to be hurling! Better stock up on the water, ibuprofen and $$$ for more drinks! I've done the spray on tan thing and I love it BUT I need a color base so I don't fry up like a piece of Southern Chicken! I'd much rather get burned at home (not at all but better home than on vacation) so I can stay out of the sun until it's gone. Also the burns from a tanning bed aren't as bad to me as a regular sunburn though still suck! They sting more.

Tom--OH MY GOD you are killing me here! LOL on the just had to try the Konk Kooler! I'm sure someone was twisting your arm right??? LOL Hahahaha on yelling at monkeyboy to get you a drink. It works around here for me! *Of course I do have to tip generously sometimes* ROFLMAO at the tie thought! I hadn't thought of a bowtie but please Joe if you are going to wear just a bowtie and a smile warn me first! As for now having to watch what you write..boy do I know that one! I got called on the carpet for telling about the SECOND speeding ticket!! LOL

Joe..I think the men around here would agree that if you get the wife in that outfit that they want to be invited to see as well! (at least my other 1/2 would) LOL about her outdrinking him in the PIrates movie...I kind of thought the same thing...but then you know some women ARE more lush tolerant than others!

Jason--Ouch on the tax payment! We've been there done that being in business for ourselves years ago and it stinks! The 1000's of dollars make you wanna puke! And usually taxes make me faint. And you are right with the BWHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...I do that quite regularly reading these posts!

JennL-I agree that trying out new things is awesome! Lets all try out new stuff. All of us can meet up *Linda says not much drinking will be going on in her cat 3 upgraded cabin for the most part* so we can come to our's and drink! LOL She did offer up some Mt. Dew and water though! HI LINDA!!!!!!

Amber, My friend Kristi who is going on this cruise with us mentioned the posibility of the spray-on-tan. I'll be interested to hear how it turns out. I have heard very good things about the spray-on-tans but i decided to go with my old stand-by - the tanning booths! In the past i have always done the tanning beds, but this time i am trying the stand-up and i have to say it is much stronger than the beds. (and this reply kinds sounds like i am talking about something other than tanning )

Heidi, Be careful while tanning tonight, my friend... we don't want a repeat of last week's burn. And i have been loading up on the aloe lotion all day today and am in pretty good condition now, thank goodness!

And i am clueless ... what is a mojito ... am i going to be adding that to my list of things to try?

Anyone else going to be watching American Idol tonight?

Mojito
(from Die Another Day)

2 oz. light rum
1 oz. lime juice
2 teaspoons sugar
fresh mint
soda water
lime slice
In a tall glass, muddle the mint leaves, sugar and lime juice. Fill the glass with ice, add rum and stir. Top with soda water, and garnish with lime slice and a mint sprig.


I haven't had one yet, I found out about it when Pierce Brosnan had one in Cuba, in Die Another Day.

Hi All! Yeppers, quite an active thread lately - cool!

I've done the spray tan thing ONCE and going back for another next weekend. I wanted to "try" it out first weeks in advance to see how it went. I am a fair blonde and tend to burn at first, so I figured I'd try this spray on so I wouldn't be scaring anyone away who might think I'm a ghost... It was pretty cool - worked great and lasted about a week if that.. Very quick and a few spots I had "patches" but that was becuase it was my first time and I didn't use the barrier cream where I should have...

I too would like to know more about this mojito!! Jason, you've already convinced me to give the FT Cuvee a whirl, now theres no stopping me!! just kidding.. I imagine theres no way in h*ll I'll be able to keep up with all you partiers, but I'll definetly be living vicariously through ya'll!!!!!!!!!!!

Definetly glad to see more of the men participating on this thread - kudos to the sig others for getting them on!!
