Good Day Everyone,

Well we are on day number 3 of rain and temps in the 40's - I can't stand it anymore. My poor DD has a 1 1/2 hour long soccer practice in the pouring down rain last night to prepare for a big game this weekend. No fun! Although they are calling for sun and high 60's this weekend.

The Fairytale Cuvee (did I spell that right) sounds wonderful. I will have to try to pick up a bottle on Friday before we board. Does anyone know if they have orange juice at the drink station? I am a fuzzy navel kind of girl (or straight peach schnapps for that matter) and would love to be able to make my own.

Heidi- I wish I would have taken a picture of our countdown chain when we first started - it was HUGE - now we are down to 17 links. Actually we are planning on doing Discovery Cove as a xmas presents for my DD's when we are at WDW the week of xmas this year. Thanks for updating the children's list.

With so many cruisers we definetely need some way to identify each other - Jason - I think the nametags would be a great idea. I'm sure many of us will be at the port early and will be waiting in line together

Jason - I would love to send you a picture, but I have no clue how to do that. I have them saved on my computer - if you guide me, maybe I can get one to you

Tammy - OH no.. there is nothing worse than watching your kids play/practice in the pouring rain! We've got the crappy weather in MD too.. raining for the past few days.. but luckily Logans soccer practiced was cancelled tonight so we didn't have to go BE in it!!

JenL--well I would think if you like Vodka you'd probably like Gin...same kind of thing just a more "piney" taste (for lack of any other description) but yeah any kind of drink I'll try just to have one! In fact I think I'll have one with dinner tonight! I have the tivo set for the dcl hour on travel channel! I am recording the secrets of WDW or something like that now. I love to see this stuff just before we leave! As if I'm not excited enough! LOL

Tammy--sounds like you are getting our crummy rain from last week! You have my sympathy! It stinks to have it cold and rainy! I have to say that the last 2 days here have been really nice (even got the Tahoe washed today) and thankfully the kids go back to school tomorrow...the weather has a chance of rain. Sending thoughts your way!! Sorry to hear about dd's soccer practice..that sux! I don't remember them having juice at the beverage station BUT I'm sure you could always order from Room Service! We ran the poor room service people crazy on our last Carnival cruise to Belize. We had a balcony and NO kids! LOL Awesome about the chain!!! It's so exciting when it gets short!!! Discovery Cove I've heard is AWESOME! Miles scout leader was just telling me about it. They took their kids! I agree nametags are a great idea!

Tracey--The list is just an add on with the new cruisers but we do have quite a few!!! I think WW are allowed in the pool..We've just had some bad experiences with them in the past losing air! I just feel more comfortable with a jacket and then he can go out to the platform at CC and play with the kids out there!

Oh yeah and I edited this to add that I LOVE the new pics on Jason's site!!! Reine your daughter is way cute..which means you are cute too!!!! Amber...Justin is a doll and AZ looks almost like Utah with nothing but land! LOL JennL--cute family!!! I want a pic like that of us at CC but when we went before it was an awful day..rained off and on all day long..no sunshine so I said NO WAY...we'll have to go again until we get one sunny! Your dd is so cute!! I love DS the way he is leaning over..that would be my Tanner..he hates to stand still for pics! I SO dread the lifeboat drill with him..its 20 min of pure torture for everyone around us! LOL

I could have somebody at work send the pic but isnt it more fun if you have to figure it out???????? Maybe I can drop clues so you walk up to the strangers after a few G&T's saying "Are you Kathy?"

To all the sunburners. Ever try the stand up booths?? Less risk of burns and germs! I'm up to 10 min also but no color yet. I think a burn is in store.

CMom- have you heard ANYTHING???

Travis & Jason(I get you both mixed up)-The cuvee sounds yummy and I'm not a champagne drinker. I would end up dancing on tables like Drew Barrymore.

Conny- before I forget again the chocolate smiley thing was great. Reminded me of myself since easter eve. Surely I will not fit into my cruisewear.

Tom-- First it is a father's duty to teach the children the proper use of "sentance enhancers" when my daughter was 2 she thought that power outlets were called "sonofa*****es" after observing my trying to wire the basement. Second, remember that as men we are only allowed to drink fruity drinks when next to or on the ocean ( I mean I'm OK with my fruity dirink side, but the guys at the office don't need to know )

Jen 1 and Jen 2 - there were 967 children in my elementary school in the 70's -- 94 of whom were named Jen and 236 were named Ryan- I couldn't walk into a mall without hearing ten mothers yell out my name (my mother distinguished mine by using Tom's daughter's new favorite word as my middle name)

And all of you lurker Dads-- Suck it up and post like a man, we are going on a big boat where we can act like pirates!!!!

Heidi- yes we've sure got LOTS of space here! Ugh, somedays I'd just like to see a tree or 2! It's in the 80's here..."but it's a dry heat"! Yeah, but 120 is still freakin' HOT!!

Now if that isn't a tongue twister. Anyway, we haven't heard anything. I'm hoping to hear from Robyn tomorrow from Cozumel. She found an internet cafe on the island a couple of weeks ago that's cheaper than the ship and has better scenery so maybe I'll get an e-mail.

To a mom used to being able to pick up the phone and "reach out and touch someone" it's kind of like communication withdrawal to only be able to talk on Saturdays and St. Thomas days and to send e-mails that may go unread for a week. I'm more used to e-mail ping pong conversations. At least I know she's having a fantastic time.

Heidi, I checked out the cabins you listed and they're two cat 4s, two cat 7s, one cat 8 and two cat 11s. We're not picky. Interestingly enough, DCL also lists cat 5 as available. Curiouser and curiouser.

I'm posting late because I was reading the posts when I noticed the ones about the DCL special on the Travel Channel. DH checked the TV schedule and said "it's starting" so at 10:00 I checked out to the TV to dream about the Magic for an hour. We taped it this time so I can show Mom who doesn't have cable. I wanna go NOW

And then I started reading posts and now it's after midnight. Haven't we discussed before about Disboard Addiction?

Hey everyone...DH said that I should probably read this thread since I may be "meeting" some of you on the cruise. No problem I said. So this is how my day went yesterday...I put my kindergartener (Sarah) on the bus yesterday afternoon and I put Abby (damnit) down for a nap and I sat down in front of the computer. Two and a half hours later Abby was awake and I wasn't even half way through the thread. I turned on Abby's favorite movie "Meemo" (also known as Finding Nemo) and sat down for another hour and a half...still not done reading and time to pick Lindsey and Sarah up from school. No time for the computer, need to make dinner, go tanning, soccer practice, homework, watch a movie with DH...by the time I am able to finish reading the thread it is up to 51 pages! But I did it! I read all 51 pages...I even stayed up past my bedtime just to get it done and now I'm afraid that I am going to be addicted just like the rest of you!!!
