Wave Steakhouse at CR?

Anyone have an opening date for the new Wave Steakhouse at the CR? My window for ADRs for my trip is coming up this week!

Subscribing... I'd like to hear as much about this as possible. I'm a big fan of the Concourse Steakhouse and I'm sad to see it go.. but I'd really like to hear about the new place.

I really hope this is better than Concourse. We did it twice and were less than impressed. I will be watching this thread.

I've always had good luck with Concourse, so I will be sad to see it go also. I'm trying to book only resort ADR's for dinner because DH will have meetings during the day and he isn't really into going on rides, etc. So it would be silly to burn a ticket on him going into a Park to eat. Add to the mix that he is a VERY PICKY eater (no Jiko or Boma) and you can see why I want to get an ADR at the Wave if it is open while we are there.

I'm hoping to book Wave, GF Cafe, and I don't know what else for the 3 nights we are there for his convention. (me, I'm hitting the PARKS during the day!!)

The Wave won't open until late 2008 sometime. When I called for my ADR's for Concourse Steakhouse for Oct 2007 I inquired about the Wave and that is what they told me....but I am looking forward to the Concourse !!!!!

I've heard that an Asian restaurant may open in the Contemporary called the Wave that will replace the Concourse but haven't heard of a Wave Steakhouse. If my memory is correct, that won't be happening for awhile. Somebody correct me if my info is dated.

The new table service location will be called The Wave, and is tentatively set to open in late March or April 2008. Once The Wave opens, the Concourse Steakhouse will close and a new, permanent quick service restaurant will be constructed in that space, set to debut in mid-August 2008.

It didn't have what the cuisine would be like. Guess I'll just try to make an ADR at Concourse and then let them either say "No it will be closed" or let them call me if it closes before my ADR.

According to the Contemporary renovation schedule the Waive is set to open sometime in April 2008 and Peepster is correct that it will feature an Asian menu. So that means it will be 100% different from the Concourse Steakhouse.

July 30, 2007 through April 2008 - The Food & Fun Center will be closed for major renovations. The location will re-open as a new table service option, "The Wave". During this time a temporary counter service location will be operating on the Grand Concourse level near the Outer Rim Lounge.

OP, you can also consider DTD-restaurants: no need for Park tickets to go eat at those!
