WATP! I finally did it!!

I have been doing Atkins for 2mos now and during that time I haven't made excercise a priority. Well, this morning I did my 1st WATP video. It was the express video. I feel as though I got a good work out and since it is only 30 minutes, I think it is something I can definately do regularly. Has anyone else done this video?How does it compare to the other videos?Are the other videos a lot longer?time is definately something I am short on. Well, I feel better that I did this today and I think it will boost my energy level for the day. Have a great day everyone!!

Glad you tried the tape and that you think it's something you can do often! That is great news. I haven't tried WATP but I'm sure a WATP veteran will be along soon to answer your questions.

I absolutely LOVE these tapes!!!! I do the 2-mile 5-6 times a week and never seem to get bored. Even my DH does it with me.

I do the WATP 2mile with AB belt 5 times a week and Pilates 3 times a week!
I love the WATP! I do get bored of the same talking...so I turn it down :)

I feel like it has really helped me and I enjoy it! :)

Congratulations, wdwnutze!!! What a wonderful feeling to say, YES, I DID IT, and have that great feeling that comes from exercise!

2ndhnymnr, WATP is short for Walk Away the Pounds, a series of exercise videos by Leslie Sansone. They are awesome!!!

I have the four-mile express super challenge, and it's a real workout! The four-mile takes about an hour and you'll definitely be sweating by the end! Sometimes when I'm pressed for time, I'll just do two miles instead of all four, which is still a LOT of activity.

Good for you for getting active - isn't WATP fun?

Can someone tell me how these WATP differ or are more intense than actual walking. I usually walk about 2-5 miles a day for 5 times per week. The 2 mile walk is a breeze for me. The only time I feel worn out is when I do the 5 mile walk, but you guys are sounding like the 2 mile walk on the WATP tapes kick you butts!! So how does this activity differ from regular outdoor walking and can someone explain how the exercises work indoors. I just can't visualize. I've seen the set of these tapes at BJ's and have been tempted to pick them up but I have so many tapes at home that I've been disappointed in that I am hesitant to do so.

I'm not familiar with an express tape - I have the 3 tape set (1, 2, 3 mile---15,30,45 minutes) and I love it!!! I have the weighted balls (not the belt).


Christine - these workouts include walking/marching in place, side steps, knee lifts, kickbacks and traveling. I know I've walked outside for a few miles, and don't seem to sweat as much as with the tapes (usually try to do the 3 mile, but have done the 2 mile when more pressed for time). I think that these tapes "kick our butts" because there are so many different muscles that are worked. Maybe you can find someone near by that can lend you a tape to try out (where in Woodbridge are you - I'm in Gaithersburg, MD), or maybe check out the library. I bought my set off Ebay, so you may want to see if they have any good prices there.

Sparkly Joe - I believe they are meant to come as a set - you can actually go on Leslie Sansone's website (walkawaythepounds.com) to see what is out there. I know on Ebay you can get the tapes as a set, or individually.
 
I just did the 1 mile for the first time. I bought a DVD set which contains the 1, 2 and 3 mile on 2 DVDs. It was $19.99 at Target.
