In my Lands End cataloge I saw what they call water sneakers made for beach & boating. Has anyone tried these? They look nice. I have size 10 feet & I didn't want to get crocs so my feet look like little boats.

Anyone have any other suggestions for a water shoe? We are going in August & I know we will get wet.

Nope--I haven't ever tried them, but I'm right there with Crocs and sz. 10 feet--Hello, Ronald McDonald. Anyway, I did a quick Google search for reviews, and the reviews (2) on Amazon were positive. In fact, I must say I'm tempted.

I am on the verge of getting a pair of these myself. Never tried them before but I've got a pair of summer mocs from Land's End that I absolutely love. These look like they'd be perfect for the "You're Gonna Get Wet!" rides!!

I have used the Lands End ones in the pool doing water aerobics...they seem to work O.K. I do prefer my Crocs though...just my preference.

I like my Teva sandals for the wet rides. I like them for wearing to the parks, too. They are light, ultra-comfy, and they dry quickly. The soles are shock absorbant and anti-microbial. The straps have neoprene on the side that touches your foot, so blistering doesn't happen, even when they get wet. They come in many colors and styles. The variety I like are called "Pretty Rugged"

A bit pricey, but they last forever...

Have a great trip!

I got a pair through Zappos.com, I've bought them at Nordstrom, REI, almost any sporting goods store with a shoe Dept.

DH and I bought Keens for our last trip. I have the Newport, DH has the Taos. They carry ALOT of different styles. We liked them because they are like sandals, but also like a sneaker. They are VERY VERY comfy. They can get wet, and they dry very quickly. We think they look very cool too...sorry I just can't say the same for the Crocs... ;)

These aren't cheap, but we walk everyday and they are SO worth the money. I took my Nikes to WDW, but ended up wearing the Keens almost everywhere.

I have these. I like them but they do not dry out as fast as I thought and definately not as kind on your feet as reg. sneakers. I don't know if I could walk around WDW all day in them

Thanks, that's good to know. Who makes a good walking shoe that dries quickly & it comfortable??? ugh.

I am going to look into the teva's but I know my Dh would never wear sandals.

I am going to look into the teva's but I know my Dh would never wear sandals.

I wear 2 different pairs the Best are my SOLOMONS (REI on-line ) and My others are ECCO's picked the up at Norstoms Rack.

Thay are both very supportive and DRY very quick.I wear them both year around with and without socks.

DH and I bought Keens for our last trip. I have the Newport

I have many pairs of Keen shoes, including the Newport H2 sandals, which are great for wet weather. They are expensive, but I just wait for sales and buy them then. I have never had to go through a break-in period for any of my Keen shoes.

They do tend to run about 1/2 size too small, except for the Newports, which I found (for me anyway) to run 1/2 size too large.

I am going to WDW with Mom (60) and Niece (8) in late April. Have been considering buying something like Keens to wear, but it won't be a great benefit if I have them and they don't (and I'm not going to buy for everyone-Cha-Ching!!). So I'm wondering just HOW wet should we expect to get? Should we throw in flip-flops to wear for the water rides? Or can we be comfortable in our regular tennis shoes? This answer will also affect my decision on whether to buy a Baggallini. Thanks for your input!

I got my Lands End Water shoes from Sears (they sell a lot of LE products). We just took them on a cruise and I's say they are ok. I'd wear them to a waterpark but I found that they don't seem to dry very quickly. They are very cute but I think for a long wear they would rub my feet a lot. At Sears they also have the kids in pink and blue. My DD (3) loves hers and I'm sure she'll want to wear hers a lot.

My family and I wore the Lands End water shoes during our Disney trip last June. They are really not made to wear well when there is lots of walking to do! I don't remember thinking that they were slow to dry, I just remember that this was the first time we ever had to deal with blisters in all our WDW trips :sad2: Of course we had a great time despite the footwear but I wouldn't use them again.

What about crocs? I've read great reviews about them on this board. I was thinking of buying thm but boy are thy ugly!!!!!!!!! :snooty:

Both of my kids wore these all of last week at WDW and they had no problems. I tried to get them to "break them in" before we left, but that didn't happen. So I cut off the tags on day one and they never had a concern. Loved 'em!

I have had good luck with Merrell sport sandals. Also, I have a pair of amphibious sneakers from Merrell called Waterpro Multi-sport that are very comfy. I haven't tried them wet yet.
