waterproof digital camera help

We also went with the play sport. Be sure to get a floating strap for it! We have taken it on several cruises and used it in our salt water pool. Be sure to rinse it off after each use in salt water. Go to youtube to watch videos about the different cameras you are considering.

Here are a couple of our short clips:

It also takes still shots, and you can take still shots from a video.

Those are great videos! Does it take normal pictures also?

I did a lot of research a few months ago as I wanted one for our trip. We got the Panasonic Lumix TS4. It was a bit more expensive than your budget though. They have the T20 that is very nice. I seriously considered that one.

We were swimming with a friend of mine this summer who had the Lumix TS4, I believe. It was very nice and she let DD play with it, which is why she now wants one. But that one was just a little over budget for me :)

We have a Coleman underwater camera. I would not recommend it. The pictures were pretty blurry, under and above water and you couldn't see anything with the digital view finder underwater.

Sure! Here are a couple, one underwater and one on the beach...

We've had a Fuji underwater camera for a few years. Since 2010 we've had no troubles. It takes both photos and video, the battery life is great. It goes for about $140 I think.

ETA--we also have a Kodak Playsport. Great for video(both under and out of water), lousy for still photos--it has no flash. Maybe the newer models are better?

I also have the Fuji XP. My battery is fine but the camera it's self is slower than slug snot. I only use it in the water and where I think it would get bashed (It's drop proof and freeze proof also).

DisneyEater - That feet photo looks like an Art Photo!! No joke, it is great. I would crop it so you see the toe and then down the slide and Frame it! And title it Faith.

Just got back from our trip.... here are a few I took at Discovery Cove with the Panasonic Lumix TS4....

The Lumix TS20 is down to $119 on Amazon right now. That was the other one i seriously considered!

My cousin has this camera and it takes really nice pictures under water. The dry pictures seem to lack something that my nikon (non-under water) camera gets but the wet pics are awesome!

Thanks. Are you talking about the waterslide one?
