what is your definition of 'underwater'?
This makes a big difference.
Do you want a camera that can get wet and be OK
one you can take snorkeling and submerge a few feet
or one that you could take diving to 100 feet?
IMO only the last is an 'underwater camera'
A Go Pro is great but there are several models and the capability range is wide from lowest to best ... as is the price!
SeaLife cameras are 'underwater' and good to over 100 feet . . . . and take good dry pictures too. But not cheap as compared to a camera that 'can get wet'
I want a camera that can get wet and submerge while snorkeling. We don't dive. We do like to camp, fish and hike. So basically, I'm looking for a camera that takes pretty good quality photos mostly on land but that can get wet, dropped etc and be ok. The camera will likely only be actually submerged on the cruise.
