I have two questions...Do you know the answers?
1. What waterpark is better Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard beach?
2. Do they give towels or do you need to bringyour own?
TIA

Well, you're going to get a lot of varying answers to #1 since it's such a subjective question. The main attraction at Typhoon Lagoon is the wave pool which sends 6 foot waves out every few minutes. TL also has a snorkling area called Shark Reef where you can, literally, swim with sharks.

Blizzard Beach is more known for its enromous water slides.

Aside from those two items, both have a plethora of individual attractions. Both have areas especially for young children, family raft rides, water slides, etc.

More people tend to favor Blizzard Beach, but I've never been disappointed with Typhoon Lagoon myself. Take a look at the park descriptions and judge for yourself. Either way I doubt you'll regret your decision.

Both parks do rent towels for $1, but you are welcome to bring your own and save a few bucks.

While riding on a WDW bus to DTD one day, I noted we had a particularly chatty (and park-savvy) driver. I slid into the seat behind him and pumped him for details on which water park to take our kids to the next day. It was August (and HOT) -- BB was at capacity every day, turning folks away. My kids had seen pics of BB and thought it was just way "cool" (literally and figuratively!) We were really leaning towards it over TL. The bus driver says, "You mean BLister Beach?" He explained that BB was very attractive to the thrill seeking crowd (newer of the 2 parks, has that ski slope looking plunge ride, cool theming etc.) HOWEVER -- for families he recommended TL. Said there was hardly a lick of shade in BB -- nowhere to run from the sun. THe fact that the crowds were mainly at BB and that there was no shade there prompted our crew to go to TL. (They had a blast!)

My sister and her fam have done both -- she prefers TL because, as she noted, at BB, it's a "snow on the beach" theme, and just as she would be relaxing, she would pass under some "melting iceberg" and get the equivalent of ice water dumped down her neck. Not her cup of tea.

That being said, however.... we plan to do 'em both next trip -- ice water or not!! :)

My first pick would be Typhoon Lagoon, like the bus driver said BLISTER BEACH has a theme of a Blizard hitting Florida...not only no shade but the reflections of all the WHITE will give you the worst burn you my ever have in your life. Got my DH and DN one year..the next day was not so much fun. (Native Floridan did use
sunblock)

I would also bring towels...
