We will be at Disney the first week of October and I'm wondering how crowded the waterparks will be. I know that during the summer they can reach capacity sometime in the morning but does that hold true in the fall? We'll be going to TL one morning and then plan on visiting BB on an afternoon. Do you think we'll find BB too crowded if we show up around 2pm? We haven't been to the waterparks in years.
Thanks =)

Of all our trips to Disney, probably my favorite was the last-week-of-September-first-week-of-October...great weather, small crowds!
It was hot, so water parks were relatively crowded, but certainly manageable.
I would never advise getting to a water park at 2 in the afternoon ...but, the only exception would be if you were going to another water park in the morning and got your "fill" at the first one...and didn't mind long-ish lines at the second.
Have fun!

We are basically going to BB just float around in the lazy river, get some sun and I want to ride the big slide but I don't mind waiting in line for that one.

TL will be closed the all of OCT so this will solve your problem.

If TL is closed for the month I would venture to guess that BB will be mobbed. Went last october around the 12th.. and BB was very crowded and i think tL was open too

Can you please post where you found the information about the waterpark being closed in October?

I have bookmarked that site, but cannot find hours. What tab should I use for that information?

We go year round. During the school year we go after school. Most afternoons that we've been there (except holiday weeks) we've had most of the park to ourselves. There have been times when I felt the pools were not as warm as they I would have liked, but in Oct that shouldn't be a problem.

As for the water park being mobbed when another park is closed for refurbishment, I've never seen that happen during off season.

Just know that when you go late and the park closes at 5pm, the food places start closing around 3 and by 4 you cannot get a meal. Even the snowcones are closed by 4:30. (the BBQ at both parks is delicious!)

Lovethattink - thanks for the info. We're not worried about eating there since we'll eat before we go and eat dinner later that night. I'm glad that we'll be able to find a tube to float around in =)
