How busy do TL and BB get in late june? Are the wait times for the water slides 15 min, 30 min or more? Any info appreciated.

I would get there when the park opens and it won't be too hard to ride the slides for the first hour or so. After that you will start to see longer lines.

I agree totally with Safetymom. We arrive at opening, go on the big and most popular slides, then when lines are getting long we do the non-line things, like wave pool, lazy river etc. :flower:

A little more info. We LOVE waterparks and I was able to snag a good rate at POR for late june. I thought we could spend most of our time at TL or BB and not the theme parks. I guess I was wondering do the lines get as long as the theme parks? We were originally going to go to a closer but much smaller waterpark and I'm trying to decide what to do. Thanks.

At BB, the lines for Slush Gusher and Summit Plummit can get pretty long from mid-morning to close. I've been there and also worked there and the SP line can get to be over an hour easily...and you are standing in direct sun most of the time! I would ride Summitt Plummit first, then Slush Gusher, and get a ride on the chair lift, which can also produce a long wait time. I've not experienced very long waits on any of the other rides, maybe 5-10 min. max. But then again we have always gone right when it's opened and stayed until maybe 1PM when it's at it's busiest and we're at our most tired!

We are thinking doing BB later in the afternoon around 4 or 5ish. How are the parks at those times? We go in late June and the hours show til 7:30. Thought it would be quieter later in the day. Anybody know? Thanks. :sunny:

I am curious about later in the afternoon also - We are planning to spend the bulk of our August trip at the water parks, as this is the one part of WDW we haven't done a zillion times. I plan on hitting the Parks at opening sometimes, but we also plan a few late nights at PI & sleeping in the next day.

Does it clear out a bit for late arrivals, say dinner time ish?

We have been to TL and BB around 5 times each, mostly in June. Whenever we stayed late, there was a big exodus around 4:30 as everyone left for dinner.

Back in 1997 we were at TL in June and they were having some summer nights promo where it didn't close until 9:00 or 10:00 pm. We left around 3:00, got some dinner, and came back for the evening. It was great fun with a DJ and prizes for Limbo, hula hoop, trivia, etc. I wish they would bring that back.
