Waterparks...do you take your own food??

Ok, correct me if I am wrong, but I think you can take a cooler into the water parks with you.

Last time, we just got food/drinks there.
IF you can, and you have in the past, let me know.....
did you feel like someone in your party needed to stay with it all day?
Did you find it a comfy spot, near some shade, leave it and come back to it when the kids got hungry or what?

Trying to decide if it is worth it to pack a lunch, or is it going to be too much of a hassle to deal with it? Should we just buy lunch....
Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Yes you can, just no glass allowed. We always take a little collapsable cooler and we have never had a problem with getting in or leaving.

I am interesting in the answers to this also as we are bringing our soft-sided rolling cooler on this trip and I wanted to pack lunch for the water parks (and non-disney - the horror - parks!!).

I do remember that food at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach was very expensive and left a lot to be desired.

I wonder if it will be a hassle also........

We brought a soft-sided cooler to BB in April and we had no problems. We found a spot in the shade and left it under the chair along with our other belongings. We came back to our chairs a few times throughout the day but otherwise we left our stuff unattended. I've read a few cases where guests had their things stolen so you may not want to leave anything valuable unattended...I'm sure this is a rare occurence but it does happen. We were probably a little bit too trusting since we left our camera there a few times (well hidden but certainly not thief proof). It's hard to imagine people could steal at WDW with all that pixie dust flying around but I guess it happens!!

Can you use the Disney Dining Plan anywhere in the water parks?

I'm going in Sept. with free dining...and I won't be able to use-up all my quick serve lunches.

We used our CS credits at TL last year without any problems. Because all dessert options are frozen, the CM asks you what you want for dessert then gives you a token to come back and pickup your dessert after you finish eating your meal.
