Waterpark with a lifejacket

We are visiting both water parks during our September trip this year and my daughter (4) will be wearing her puddle jumper (or a life jacket if those aren't allowed?) and I am wondering how that affects the slides. The body slides and the tube slides that she is tall enough for, she would still need her life jacket for the drop pool at the end, and since I don't think I can be there to catch her, I am just wanting to make sure she will be able to wear her life jacket while on the slide. Has anyone for sure done this? She's fine to swim to the steps after the slide ends and me or her dad will be there waiting but she absolutely can not swim without the life jacket. Another question I guess would be can we hold her on the body slides? IF she can't wear her life jacket that is. Thanks so much!

I don’t recall If life jackets are permitted on the slides. They have water park issued ones for the wave pool. I believe the puddle jumper is not permitted as it is not certified.

Since you have until September, could she get some swimming lessons by then?

Many of the slides dump into a pool that one can stand up in. My kids were able to at around 4.

a quick scan of youtube and I found several videos of kids with the Disney provided life jackets on the slides.

No, you will not be able to hold her on the body slides, that I'm sure of. Not sure if you can use your own flotation device, as it's been many years since we've dealt with them, but from memory I think you are supposed to use WDW provided ones (I could be wrong).

I do remember waiting in the pool at the end for DD to come down. I would just explain to the lifeguard that's what I was doing, and it was never an issue.

She can wear a life jacket on every slide and life jackets are provided free of charge. You can not hold her. She will love it!

We were in blizzard beach last Friday with my almost 4 year old granddaughter and she was able to wear her puddle jumper. She did the family tube ride with us and then also the single tube ride. Her little arm span wasn’t even wide enough to hold onto both handles and she STILL did great and loved it! She also kept her puddle jumper on throughout the whole kids section and rode all the slides there with and without tubes.
