I know this sounds crazy, but when I was going over suggestions for an itinerary, my dh suggested a water park on Xmas day. We could sleep in, head over, and be home for dinner. My kids thought this was a great idea!

I know the weather is inconsistent...it could be warm, or pretty cold. Are he water parks open regardless? Is the water heated?

We could just relax, going around and around on the lazy river.

Would it be crowded?

We had a similar plan for last Christmas day. We booked Discovery cove, swimming with dolphins. :cool1:

Trouble was it was so cold and raining so hard we only stayed a few hours and that was because we had paid so much to be there. The trainers told us they had 3 wet suits on.

Im not saying we didn't have a good time because we did but the weather is so unpredictable I'd have a back up plan if you can. It could be that its a lovely day -we have had hot Christmas days other years but shivering wrapped i towels to keep warm takes the gloss of off the experience.

That's what I was kind of wondering (afraid of)

Our backup plan could be a park, or Downtown Disney, or just hanging around our hotel

A good back up plan could be a movie at DD. (we love that theater) We were at DW last year 26th-1st and did go to the water parks a couple of times, but most people thought we were crazy (the weather wasn't the best). We really enjoy the water parks and they weren't crowded.
