Last year we visited for two days, July 5th and 6th. Our arrival day was late on the 4th and we visited Downtown Disney. This year, we'll be arriving on July 27th and staying through Saturday, July 6th. I'm debating on going to a waterpark on July 4th. How crazy are they on the 4th? It's been several years since we've visited the waterpark but I'm not sure....
Thanks

Me and my friend were at MK last year from open to close on July 4th. We are two twenty-something year olds so it could be different with a family with little ones..but we got on EVERYTHING. It was very very crowded but if you plan it right, it is manageable. We planned a sit down lunch at The plaza to get a break from the crowds/heat and we also did the Fireworks dessert party so we had an amazing view of the fireworks (which were AWESOME btw) without fighting the crowds. I have not yet been to the parks since FP+ has been added so I can't comment on how that might change things in regards to getting on rides on a busy day like that.

So if you're not interested in the crowds then I would say doing a water park and then maybe going to The Poly or something to watch the MK fireworks without actually entering the park is a pretty good idea. :thumbsup2
