We might think about visiting BB thsi summer! Please give me your BEST tips!!!

do we need watershoes? Can you wear thehm on the slides?
will I be okay in a two-piece? I probably won't go on any long/fast slides.

What will my 5yo like at BB?

Where should we set up camp?

Is it worth it to pack a lunch? We will bring our own towels. Is a locker REALLY necessary?

If you have sensitive feet I would recommend water shoes. The pavement gets hot and after walking around on the sidewalks all day, my feet get pretty sore. I have never been asked to take them off on the slides. They have a really cool preteen area that your 5 year old will love. We usually don't get a locker because we have a one year old and someone is always at the stroller, but if you plan on walking around alot, I would suggest a locker. Look at the map online and figure out where you will be spending most of your time, that is where I would set up camp. We get there right at opening so we can get chairs. And most of all...Have Fun!

We packed a lunch. I took a cooler. We still bought some frozen drinks. The refillable Cup there is a pretty good deal. ( i think around 8-10, but we filled it 4-5 times with iccee) We packed pb&j. I usually don't like it but after 4 days of going out, it tasted pretty good.:D We also took chips, and salsa. I can't remember what else.

We found a spot close to the toddler area, for my 2 Y.O. It was kind of far from the big stuff. pretty close to the pre teen area, which my 5 Y.O. really liked.

We did not have water shoes, but we were there in early May. Any hotter and they would have been a good idea.

We did rent a locker (small one for the tickets, and room keys, big money), but I carried one of those things around my neck for some small bills. Nothing was bothered at our chairs though. When you return the locker key, you either get part of your money back, or a sovenier mug. I took the mug. Good size for the kids.

I don't know about the 2-piece. If I'd worn one, I would have had the whole park to myself -scary-  I'm sure I saw people in them though.

One idea- take a water proof disposable camera. Some of my favorite pics, are from BB.

Have fun:D

We did TL a month ago, but I think my ideas go for either...

TAKE THE WATER-PROOF CAMERA - I just got mine back yesterday, because we had to finish it out in the pool at Grandma's. Some of my favorite trip pictures came from this camera. I just carried it around with me on all the slides, no problem!

LOCKERS - I don't think you need one. We got there at opening, and the line for lockers was already 30 folks or so deep. We found our "home" base, and left our towels, clothes, buckets, snacks, etc. there all day with no bother. I bought one of those necklaces upon arrival for $5 and wore it all day with our money and tickets. I did all slides, etc. - no problem!

WATER SHOES - I'd wear them or at least have them on hand. I wore mine all day as did one of my girls. DH and my other DD went barefoot, but complained that evening of tender feet.

TWO-PIECE SUITS - I don't even have one, so I guess I can't talk, but...I can't imagine going on even the gentlest raft ride in one. All that climbing in and out of tubes, slides, etc. is hard enough without adjusting your self every second! Also, even the mildest slides dump you out into a pool with everyone to see what else gets dumped out... !!

DO go to the water park if you can - it was one of the best things of our trip. Disney does a GREAT job as always, they don't even compare to your local concrete jungle of a water park. Have fun!
