Waterpark crowds Easter Week?

We've been to WDW during Easter Week before, and booked this year's trip before all the FP+ hullaballoo came into play. FOR MY FAMILY, we're pretty certain that this trip will include the least amount of time we've spent in the parks since we started going. It's one thing to go early and deal with the crowds. To do so while being so limited with FP is a whole other animal.

So we're thinking about making our first trip to a waterpark. But will we be shooting ourselves in the foot there, too? We don't want to spend the extra money if it means waiting forever in water slide lines, too. Anyone who can speak to the crowds during this time - your opinion is welcome! :-)

Otherwise we might just be chillin at the resort a lot this trip. Maybe take in a move at DTD or something. Gonna be a slow trip, for sure! We'll make the most of it. :-)

We have done a day at Blizzard Beach during Easter week. It was busy but fine. DD was younger then so we didn't do the big slides, but the family things were not too bad first thing. We got there when it opened and got ourselves some loungers which served as our 'base'

I'd recommend getting there first thing and hitting all the big slides and saving things like the Lazy River and wave pools etc until afterwards.
