We're starting to plan our June 2022 trip! It will be myself, DH, our (then) 3.5 year old daughter, and lots of extended family with children ranging from 2-10 years old. We're doing Disney and Universal, and are debating which water park to go to. Which would you recommend for those age ranges, between Blizzard, Typhoon, and Volcano Bay? From looking at their website, it doesn't appear there will be a ton for <40" tall kids at Volcano, would the Disney waterparks be similar?

We always felt blizzard beach had more to do for our kids. I believe even the large family raft ride (team boat springs) is any height can ride and it’s a family favorite.

I’m a big lover of Volcano Bay. They have several dedicated kids zones, and they have things for a range of ages in the same zone. If you go “inside” the volcano there is a lit up “tiki” face......you should have the kids talk to it and that’s all I’ll say (no spoilers). There are interactive light features there too. There are lots of “hidden” interactives in many areas of the park that I would have missed but the kids found quickly-things that you touch and games are initiated, different songs that play underwater (typical at resorts but always entertaining to kids). I’m not sure how “back to normal” things will be by the time of your trip or how you like to spend your time at a water park but if the kids like exploring there’s lots to discover at volcano bay. We also get a cabana, they are quite lovely and if you get one “near the volcano” trail you will be right in the middle of several kid focused spots.
