Watermelon Juice

On my first trip to WDW with my husband we had the best watermelon juice in Mexico in Epcot. That was in 1997 and we will be going back to Epcot this summer for the first time since. Does Mexico still have this wonderful juice? If so, where? I have searched the CS menus, threads, etc and cannot find it.

Hmm...I don't think so. I don't recall any other stands either. The Margarita Stand doesn't have any, neither does Cantina de San Angel or San Angel Inn.

I think the cosest thing now is the watermelon soda at club cool.

I've never had or heard of the watermelon juice in Mexico, but the watermelon soda at club cool is delicious and FREE!!!

I loved the watermelon juice and hated to see it go. When they didn't sell it at a dedicated kiosk, they did sell it for a while during the food and wine festival. A couple of years ago, watermelon juice was listed at the festival kiosk in Mexico, but they didn't sell it. It's been MIA 'til this day.

I haven't been able to find any either. And I hope the watermelon soda is there now-everytime I've been to Club Cool in the last year or two, they've been out of it.

I do remember the watermelon juice. It was cool and sweet.

I seem to recall tamarillo juice as the replacement in Mexico. My memory may be faulty there, though. It was the time they were dismantling Horizons. I sat on a bench, drank some tamarillo juice and watched one of my favorite attractions being demolished.

I've never had the watermelon juice but I lived in Texas for quite a while and it sounds like a watermelon agua fresca. I love watermelon agua frescas but also canteloupe, lemon and horchata (sweet rice) agua frescas are yummy.

So for those of you who loved this, if you're ever in Texas (particularly San Antonio) or Mexico and you see agua frescas you will like those too.

awwwww... I loved Horizons too!

I remember that Watermelon Juice! It was my favorite afternoon treat at EPCOT! Then one day I went to to the Cantina to get one and it was that tamarillo(? tamerind) drink instead, which seemed more like a cruel joke after wanting a watermelon juice so badly.

I don't think there is anything there but that margarita stuff now. I wish they'd bring back the watermelon juice!

Oh, and yes, it was tamerind juice. My boo boo. Tamarillo was the trade name.
