watermelon anyone????

what do you put on yours.......I LOVE SALT and some people think I am wierd......but I love it and it enhances the taste of the sweetness......anyone else

I was wondering how long it would take to turn this way.

I have never tried salt on my watermelon, but sometimes combos that you don't think would be good, really are when you try them (especailly salty sweet combos.)

OK, I'm going to be good!

I do NOT put anything on my watermelon. When I was growing up we put salt on it and can eat it that way, but don't now.

I usually eat cantaloupes plain, too, but sometimes sprinkle a little salt on them.

One of my favorite childhood memories was watching my dad get his cantaloupe ready to eat. He put salt and pepper on it and it took him so long to get it ready that I was done with mine by the time his was ready to eat.

As far as how to eat watermelon, I like to cut off a big, whole ring and put it on a plate. Then I cut circles of the melon around the inside of the melon. After I've gone all the way around I eat a circle of the heart, so it's a big swiss cheese looking piece of melon. I then eat all the pieces. I can make a meal of watermelon.

See, even I can write a melon post that's not sophomoric!!!

I like watermelon with lots of salt and ice cold. I can't stand cantaloupe the smell of it makes me nauseous. I don't think I have ever tried honeydew.

If it's sweet, I'll eat it without. If it's not quite there, salt really helps.
