Watercraft Rentals at Poly!

Can anyone give info on unlimited use of watercraft for entire stay at the resorts. I will be staying at the Poly and was considering renting for the week. What was your experiance? . Was it a lot of trouble to reserve each time you wanted to use a certain watercraft? . Was it worth the money? .

Go for it!
It cost us 215.00 for our length of stay there and with 8 of us (4 elegible) drivers we went out whenever we felt like it . The people at the marina are very nice. They will have you fill out paperwork the first time and after that you just leave your room key or id with them and they give you a wristband everytime you go out. I love having the freedom of coming and going and not watching the clock. There's also a captains plan for only 4 hours. I think it is 150.00- so for us it wasn't worth it

This is the current price and information I have when they replaced the watermouse with the new boats (Sea Raycer) they had a price increase.

**Recreation Family Plans:
Plan includes the Water Mouse, Pontoon Boats, Canopy Boats, Sailboats and Bicycles, (Cruises and Surry Biles NOT included)
Captain Plan: 4 hours of rental per Group $133.13.
Family Plan: Length of Stay Plan (10 Day Rate for Unlimited use of Equipment Listed Above) $254.44 (Up to 5 Guests per Plan)
Sea raycer 1/2 hour=$23.00/1 hour=$32.00
All drivers of the boats must be over 16 years old and have a valid Drivers Licensed No age restrictions for passengers.

Not sure if anyone will know but we are going with another couple so will be a total of 4 adults. Is it possible to get the family plan for the 4 of us even though we are on separate packeages ? just curious

I was wondering about this plan also. Does anyone know if that length of stay plan is only for the resort you are staying at/ Or can you use the boats at any of the resort marina's?

If by packages, you mean the pay for 5, get 2 free (sorry don't know the right name), I don't think that will be an issue at all.

If you're on the Gold or Platinum Plan , boats are already included so you don't need to do this plan.

Cindie-rella, we've done the plan at both the GF and the Polynesian. At both of those resorts you did have to be staying at the resort to use the plan. But I think that is true only at those two resorts as many people have posted about staying at the EPCOT resorts but buying the plan at WL for example. But whichever resort you purchase the plan is where you must always go to use it.

Also we last used the plan before the recent price increase so there's always the chance that other changes have been made but no one has posted about any other differences other than the minimum age at Seven Seas and Bay Lake resorts is now 16 with a valid license. As always younger children can still ride and in one post it sounded as if they can still drive too as long as a licensed driver is in the boat with them. Not at all sure if that is correct though.

As far as I can remember and this was in May, it is for the resort you are staying at. You must be 12 to drive but you must have a licensed driver with you until you reach 16 and have a license. For us we have a big family. They had no problem with us all taking a child with us. The limit of 5 is for drivers only not passengers. The lake that the Poly and GF are on is the best one because you can really pick up speed- you can also go over to the lake by FW and WL-just a tip though-it can get very crowded and with all the other boats out there it was at times even frightening. You really have to watch out for everyone else. We found rainy days to be the best of all because we felt like the only ones out there and who cared if you got wet -just make sure you wear a bathing suit.
