watercraft/bike rentals

Does anyone know if you can rent watercraft/bikes from the resorts if you're staying at another resort? I'm sure I know the answer to this one but thought I'd check. If not, is there anywhere other than resorts that rent this sort of thing?

The hotel marina and bike rentals are open to anyone. You can go to any of the resorts and rent the amenities they are not exclusive to guests staying at that particular property

LibertyBelle is 100% correct. We stayed at the Beach Club one year but the boating in 7 Seas Lagoon is SO MUCH BETTER, so we went to the Grand Floridian and rented 7 boats for just under 2 hours and had a blast!! Never had a problem with renting at all....

Could one of you advise me on the best place overall to rent watercraft? We'd like to kayak mostly - maybe some sailing but not a priority. Would also prefer to rent from somewhere that has bikes available to use as well. We've got a babysitter for a full day so we want to take full advantage!! We'll be at WL for the first 3 nights - I'm not sure of the quality of their equipment and how scenic the area is around the lodge.

The area around WL is very scenic if you like the woods.

WL has a very nice bike path through the woods to the campground. The bikes are not so great (at least they weren't in April). Unless Disney has gotten new bikes recently, they generally aren't good anywhere. Basic cruisers that look to be a few years old.

The lake in that area is also very beautiful. We always rent a boat at WL, even when we've stayed elsewhere.
