For those who have just been to Castaway Cay, what is the water temperature now? We have been there this time of the year and found the water to be cool and other times it has been warm. Will be there next week. :)

We were there last week. It was about 78 the day we were on the island, the water was a bit chilly at first but if you stayed closer to the beach it was warmer. It was not as warm as the heated pools on the ship, but it wasn't horrible. Once you got in, it was ok. We spent a lot of time in the ocean.

Is it safe to say the water will be even warmer in mid April??

Wow so the coldest is still warmer than New England beaches in the summer! Great perspective

We were there two weeks ago and while I didn't look at the official temp I would describe the water temperature as "slightly chilly, but definitely swimmable." :)

The kids jumped right in and swam/snorkeled all day. I was cold when I first got in but after a couple of minutes it was fine...I snorkeled and enjoyed it and didn't feel cold after that initial "getting in" shock.

It was a nice sunny day while we were there.

We were there this past Sunday. The weather was warm walking around but when we went snorkeling the water was COLD but refreshing. Nothing to stop you from getting in but enough to wake you up upon contact with it.

side note - this was our first trip there and did not realize it was salt water *lol* yucky in your mouth
