I was wondering whether beverages (non-alcoholic) are allowed on the water taxis? What about bringing coffee from the onsite hotels? I can't remember from the last time I was there - plus the rules may be different now.

Thanks. I know security has been increased and I was curious if it would affect what was allowed on the boats.

No alcohol, everything else was fine. I don't think they want glass either. Last week, a lady with a fruity alcohol drink was allowed to ride back (captain didn't see it), but a few minutes after we arrived at RPR, she tried to get back on the boat, and security would not let her. They tried to reason with security (by yelling and screaming) but to no avail.

Security also took a bottle of some foreign alcohol drink that they could not read the label and the person was not exactly straight forward with them. Probably did not help that the daughter was saying, " I told you mom!"

But, lots of coffee on the morning rides into CityWalk.

If you are staying onsite, the only security is getting on the boats and at the end of the walkways to CityWalk. On the boats, they were really examining bags and wanding people. On the walkways were metal detectors, so they have really amped up. They check everybody, nothing random about it. The boats are very patient about waiting if there are people in line with security, so no rush or stress. Just empty pockets, put out your bags, and let them wand you.
