Water-skiing or surfing lessons?

We like to do atleast one thing new and exciting during each trip.

We are trying to decide between water-skiing lessons and surfing lessons for our trip in May. We have done neither before. Any suggestions for those who have tried them at WDW? Would we be able to continue to do these things without the lessons during subsequent trips, assuming we become proficient (ha ha).

Thanks!

My brother took water skiing lessons several years ago and I went along with him. He "learned" to water ski, knee board, and tube ride. He had a great time. We were on the gold plan so we didn't care what it cost. I think if we were to do it again and already knew how to ski it would just mean more time actually skiing instead of being taught. I don't think its any cheaper if you know what you are doing.

I hope this helps.

honeymo78-I agree -we were also on gold plan-did
parasailing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, etc at
Sammy Duvall's - excellent instructors. Great time.
