Ok people I feel like I’m living in two worlds here, especially with how careful we have to be now when we say anything Covid related. But please look at that and ask again if you need to be going to Disney World right now ? They are running out of oxygen for their water treatment due to Covid. Does that sounds hunky dory ?
My sister is in Hillsborough county Florida and is a school social worker. Her husband is a surgeon . The hospital is desperate. They are cancelling surgeries and asking staff to fill in with Covid patients. This is no simple thing, just because you’re a surgeon or an oncologist doesn’t mean you know how to work ICU . But they are completely overrun. Paediatric ICU is full. This isn’t media driven fear. This is real life.

My sister sent me a picture yesterday of a hallway outside her office. The hallway was a line of chairs on both sides , about 20 in total . She said “this is our Covid hallway. Kids get sent here when suspected of Covid to wait to be picked up. “ She texted me 15 minutes after classes started and said “Covid hallway is full.” It stayed full all day . Yet it is ILLEGAL for them to impose a mask mandate. Think about that. It’s so politicized it’s illegal to impose potentially life saving health measures. They have 11 confirmed cases in staff members today at their school, and I don’t know how many kids but over 70 are out isolating. And that is one school . It’s crazy.

I agree with you. I don’t get it at all. And you go to other boards/Facebook etc and people, especially more local, are just acting like covid is gone.
