Water play areas

I'm trying to decide if it is worth bringing bathing suits, etc for two toddlers. Are there many water play areas at the parks and if so what are the names and where are they? I only know Donald's boat. The last two times we were there it wasnt water weather, so I didnt think about it. I want to bring only the essentials. Thanks

Hi - there are lots more places to get wet. Ariel's Grotto is one of my favorites and much better than Donald's IMO.

What I do to keep it simple - is just bring a change of clothes for the kids. I let them run and get totally wet in their current clothes and then just change into the dry ones. If you're going at a hot time - laying the wet clothes on the stroller makes them dry for the next round (if there is one).

I find that a lot easier than first changing into the b-suit and then changing AGAIN back into dry clothes. AND, with my kids ages, I already bring a change of clothes anyway due to oops's on the potty leaving clothes dirty. So, I don't bring anything additional.

Since we still bring a stroller, I do, however, make room in the bag for water shoes. I hate having them in bare feet anywhere public (and then, if they have to go potty while wet - you have to take the time to get shoes on them, etc) - SO, when we go in really hot weather and know they'll be getting wet - we do bring the water shoes. But that's just my preference.

We do the same thing- change of clothing. As for shoes, the kids are usually in sandals like teva's or crocs so they don't even need a change for those. Don't forget the tikki section over in adventureland. In Epcot there are the fountains which the kids love.

I don't know if you have girls or boys, but we have girls and we put their bathing suits on under a sundress. Then the suit drys and we slip the dress back over. We bring extra underwear for them to change into later in the day so they don't have to stay in their bathing suit. It works perfect for us.

thanks everyone! i like the idea about the dresses . I think that might work. I have two girls who are turning 3. We were just there in Nov & Feb and water play areas never crossed our minds because it wasn't hot. I just didnt know if it was even worth getting wet. My girls still nap, so we would be heading back to the hotel early afternoon and maybe hitting the pool before nap. I guess i will plan for it one day and see how it goes. Thanks again.

I think Epcot has at least 2 places. Ones in front of TT and MS. I think ones to the right of the big fountain.

There is also a water play area across from the Pooh ride. It's more of a playground but it also has a small water play area for the toddlers. Besides that and what the other posters have said, there is also one at Downtown Disney. I don't know of any in MGM or Animal Kingdom but if someone else does, please let me know!
