For us, the smarter move is to just use the resort's pool:

1) less steps
2) hot tub
3) no day wasted planning for Water Park day (especially if it decides to rain all day)

When I took the kids to Orlando this June, I decided to do a water parks only trip. For around 100 dollars each, you can get an annual water parks pass.

We had an awesome time. Each parks have their high points. Overall my kids enjoyed the wave pool at Typhoon Lagoon the best. The large waves were a blast and would knock you over.

I'd not been to the water parks since 2002. I had a difficult time finding any updated information (tips/touring plans), so an updated podcast or YouTube video would have been helpful.
