We've never done either WP before. I hang my head in shame! But finally on our upcoming August trip I've set aside 4 days for WP, mini golf and Quest. I'm going to hit all of them. Which WP would you do first and what order would you do the mini golf courses? Thank you

I like Winter Summerland a lot and think it is cuter than Fantasia Gardens. So really, everything is based on that. I love both water parks. I think I prefer Typhoon Lagoon, but ask me tomorrow and my opinion might be different. So, since I like Winter Summerland the most, I'd do that miniature golf after Fantasia Gardens. Since it is right next to Blizzard Beach, I'd go to Blizzard Beach in the morning/afternoon and then do Winter Summerland after that. So, I'd do Typhoon Lagoon, Fantasia Gardens, Blizzard Beach, and Winter Summerland.

Can't think of a particular reason to do in any order? I liked Typhoon Lagoon but both WPs are good. The pool at TL alternates between bobbing waves & large surfing like waves. I don't remember time interval in which they switch. The large waves are pretty neat. In August it may be very crowded. I've only been Feb/Mar times.

Watch for Disney Quest. It was slated to close sometime this year. I don't know a specific date has been set?

DQ is not included in the WP&M option this year. They are shutting it down.

I'm hearing it will be open until 2017 with the NBA pulling out

Yes I've seen similar reports. I hope they keep it period. Me & the kids really like going. It's a little old, tattered and needs some updating but so do I. I guess we connected? Updating DQ would be mucho better than NBA whatever!!!!

If they do keep Disney Quest open they need to put some serious work into renovating it and adding some new stuff. I always liked the place but it was in shabby condition last time I was there, even my beloved POTC game (cannons not working well, some screens blurry). I do think an updated DQ is better than the NBA idea.

Wide World of Sports:

According to the not so helpful CM I spoke with, "Nothing unless there is an event happening".

It's a huge place and there is every kind of sports field known there including a baseball stadium where the Atlanta Braves hold spring training. Saw a spring game there and it was fun. They have all kinds of non professional sports events from youth games to national cheerleading competitions.

Other than watching an event there is a restaurant, gift shop and an arcade, I think!!

It really doesn't matter which order you do them in. I would just put them in the schedule where ever they make the most sense. It's smart to to Blizzard Beach and Winter Summerland on the same day since they are literally steps away from one another.

THNX will do

Also keep in mind that you'll need to play mini golf before 4:00 pm.

Geographically speaking, Fantasia Gardens would make the most sense on a day when you're in Epcot or DHS.
THNX the way we have things scheduled we will spend 10 days in the main parks and the other 4 doing the "fun"

I think there is still a weird thing with transportation from Typhoon Lagoon, also? I think they were only going to Epcot after 2:00, instead of resorts? So where you are going afterwards might influence your decisions. We were going to go to TL and then to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club one day, but I changed it to Blizzard Beach so that I could take a bus right from the water park to the hotel/restaurant.
