I am trying to help a friend plan her trip and she would like to go to a water park on the Saturday after Thanksgiving -- provided the weather is OK. I have no experience with waterparks whatsoever. Will this day be crowded? Compared to the parks? (I assume only one park will be open.) Should they get there at opening? About how long do you stay? They were thinking of maybe doing tea at the Grand Floridian in the afternoon. Is that cutting things close? (They will be driving, not taking a bus.)

Thanks!

Hi --

We were in Disney last year (11/16-11/23), and we did Blizzard Beach on Friday (11/22). Crowds were light all week at all the Disney parks. We kept to our schedule all week, and only switched our water park day to Friday, because it was too cool on Thursday. I think most people to MK on Saturday, because that's the day most people arrive. We had vitually no wait at Blizzard Beach throughout the day (we arrived soon after it opened, but really didn't have to), which gave us time to enjoy the water park and relax.

Because of the time of year your friend is going, they will start to see the Christmas decorations pop-up all over the parks.

We had temps in the low 80s for most of the week, and things were a cool upper 60s low 70s at night. Hope this helps.

Kash,

How long did you stay at the park? Would leaving around 2 be feasible? Or is that not enough time?

That 'might' be pushing it. When we went BB opened at 10:00. If you're going to leave early, I would try to get there right after it opens. It all depends upon the weather too, if it happens to be a really nice water park day it may be a little busier. The park is fairly big and it takes time to walk to each slide. We had two kids with us (8y/o son, 5y/o daughter), and we did a lot of the better slides many many times, and later in the day, we just hung out at the kids play area. You didn't mention if there were any children, and this is a factor. My kids didn't have a problem going from ride to ride at "full speed" all day at the water park (in fact no problem at ANY of the parks for that matter!).

In our case, we did stay all day, but we probably could of left a little earlier.

Any more info, just ask...
