Any idea the water temp in Nov. at Typhoon Lagoon? I've heard they heat it. Also, are there any jacuzzis or extra warm pools? Am considering going over Tday.

All the pools are heated.... But that doesn't matter when you are getting out.. :earseek: It just matters what the weather is like.. and with all the hurricanes/cold weather... etc.... Who knows what it will be like.

Two years ago the daytime and most nighttime temps were great for swiming. In fact our we went swiming the first night at one of the CBR quiet pools at 8:00 pm just so we could tell the folks back home (Maine) that we did.

gman,

We New Englanders have a different idea of how warm, cool or cold it has to be to swim! You know, like being numb up to your knees in the Atlantic in Maine in August!!! That is as far as I go. ;)

I'm just going to play the water park as an option depending on the weather and my whim.

My kids ALWAYS swim at the WL pool and I do at least once even if FLA is setting record low temps like 2002 when we were there for Thanksgiving.

As my fellow New Englander pointed out, our toterance for cold water is higher than most so keep that in mind...

My guess on the water temp would be high 70's to low 80's. Warmer than Old Orchard Beach on July 4th, that's for sure!

I know they dont heat any of there pools to warm, ya have to keep active in the water

Only to your knees? You've got to go all the way in to do any serious boogie boarding in Maine!

70's!! Yikes....

Ocean temp when I went to Maui in June was 78...that downright cold to this gulf coast Texan! My swimming pool stays around 88-90 degrees for most of the summer and that is quite refreshing on a hot, 98 degree day! We swam two weeks ago when the water was 84, and that was too cold unless the sun was shining on you!

My point is it's all in what you're used to!

we were there mid-November 2004, and the water was warm, low 80's. It was also mid-high 80's most of the trip. :sunny:

Hey geekmaster!

Give me a break, I'm from southern New England. We Nutmegers are not as hardy as you Mainiacs are! ;) I'll take Hilton Head water temps please.

We've never done a water park at WDW. What do you think? Is is worth it? We wouldn't be doing the thrill rides at TL.

Thanks,
penny

I can tell you they normally keep the temps around 74-76 degrees.

:rotfl: I guess it all depends where you are from. I've grown up in Canada and we've always considered it swimming/shorts weather as soon as it hits 60... so on that note, I was incredibly hot last year during my December trip. We went in the pool every night!!! And, we definitely weren't the only ones... ::MinnieMo

I hear that.Last year during are dec trip we had some days that temps only hit the fifties and my kids talked me into swiming well it was great in the water the walk back to the room was another story lol.

The pools at WDW are heated to 80 degrees. Which makes it nice when a little cooler out and you go in and stay in. If you are going in and out of the water the air might be too cool. When we go to WDW in the winter, we usually by pass the water parks and stick to the pools.
