Water parks less crowded at opening or in afternoon?

I have read that you should get there at 10 or wait until 2. Which is least crowded? Do many people not stay all day long? I'm wondering if 2-6 is enough time to do it.

What time of the year are you planning on going? that will certainly matter. the waterparks tend to less crowded on those cool winter days.
We have found the best days to go are when it is threatening to rain around noon and we get there right before opening and then enjoy the lighter crowd and get ready to head out around 2-3 when the afternoon storms always pop up in Orlando.

However if you are going on a hot sunny day I would still be there at opening and do all the big slides/rides 1st thing and then enjoy the lazy river and the wave pools as it crowds up later.

You pretty much want to be there before thepark opens - crowds will be light for the first hour or two depending on when in may you are going. If you are going memorial day weekdn then for sure be there very early and leave early - the place will be jam packed by 11am in the morning

It does lighten upo somehwat later in the day - but nothig will mattch the productivity of going first thing in the morning

Does it take awhile to process the line? If you are there at opening, does it take 10-20 minutes in line to get in? Waterparks do the fingerscan too, right? Thanks.

They let people through the turnstiles before opening so there isn't a long line. They hold them back and at opening time every takes off running to their favorite spot.
