Water Parks in October?

We will be in WDW from Oct 17 thru Oct 22 and would like to visit either Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon. Can anyone tell me what the temperature (air and water!) is like? Also, what are the crowds like in October? And, which water park do you like best (BB or TL)? Any other comments, warnings or suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanx.

Average temp so far this month: 76.9
Highest temp: 88
Lowest temp: 68

All WDW pools and water parks are heated. Should be just fine for swimming most days.

Crowds should be managable. They only get ridiculous during the summer and spring break time. Hard to predict crowd patterns on any given day, but you likely will not have to arrive at 10am just to get a chair (as is the case in the summer).

I'll let others field the "which is better" question. Most will contend that Blizzard Beach has more thrills, but without going into any details, we prefer the laid-back feel of Typhoon Lagoon.
