Hi
Is the weather warm enough to do water parks in October?
Thanks
Karen
We went in dec a few years ago and weren't the only ones there, was fine we are going the end oct -nov this time and planning to go first day we are there as typhoon closes 31st October
We're also out there Oct 20 for a fortnight. According to this calendar, it closes from 28th October onwards this year. Don't want you missing out if you go a day too late!.
never had a cold day oct/nov time, but have definately had cool/cold evenings late November!![]()
We went a couple of years ago around Columbus Day. It was COLD the whole week. We had to leave the parks and go buy JACKETS!!!
But that was definately NOT the norm. We are planning a trip for this October and it includes water parks at least 2 days.
Good luck to us both!
A couple of years ago, thats prob the one year that we didn't do October/NovemberSounds like we had a lucky escape then! Mind you we went the following feb/march time and the evenings were COLD then. Going September or to be precise we will be in the air this time in 4 weeks
so not expecting anything but hot. Not a fan of Sept but its for a big birthday of mine and I need to escape and pretend its not happening

LOL!Love it.
Maybe big birthday's aren't real and don't count when you're at Disney! LOL!
We've never worn anything on our feet at pools/beach/etc before even in hot summers in France and I assumed it was an over cautious bit of advice but thought I'd check here![]()
Never underestimate Florida sun.
Southern France may get hot, but florida is farther south.
That's the kind of heat you'd get in southern morocco or southern Egypt (basically sahara desert)
Temperatures may not necessarily be higher, but the angle of the sun is different and the quantity of heat energy is tremendous. Long story short : pavements really do get hot.
You might be ok without footwear, but I know I'm not.
And it's much different from briskly walking 10 paces around the pool, you're looking at quite long and frequent walks on overheated pavements.
We use flip-flops or crocs
and don't forget sunblock (or better, anti-uv suits for kids)
florida sun is a killer.
