Is it possible for an adult non-swimmer to visit a water park and have fun?

Do any of the slides or family raft rides end in a shallow pool or are they all deep splash pools?

Would you :umbrella: recommend Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon or Wet 'n' Wild?

you can do everytyhing but the wave pool and shark rief....most every attraction is less than 4 feet deep.....just remeber you can just stand up anytime you want too.

I can swim but don't swim very well or very often and was nervous about going to the water parks as I had never been on a water slide before. We we to TL an I loved it! The lazy river there is so much fun, and there are alot of slides I felt comfortable going on. The water isn't deep at all you just have to remember to keep your barings and stand up.

Have fun!

My mom went with us in May to BB. She is 68 and has never swam in her life and really doesn't like water. She had a great time and went on a lot of the rides. They all mostly end in shallow, walkable water. When she wasn't on the slides she was sunning or in the lazy river.
She did say that she would skip it this year though and head over to Epcot. I think this has more to do with her budgeting her time and money on things she is really interested in.

I'm a non swimmer but would still like to go the water parks, my children love the water rides. Being not a slim as I used to me and would not feel comfortable in a swimsuit is it ok for me to wear shorts and t-shirt?

I think that a non-swimmer can certainly enjoy the wave pool, too, you are just not going to go in over your head! The family raft rides all end in shallow water, maybe knee deep.

You really needn't feel uncomfortable as there are many ...um.."Pooh-sized" people there having a good time. A water park is one place I am not at all self-concious about my swimsuit, since there is always someone larger than me and I am neither trying to impress anyone nor will I see anyone from home.

im a 5th year lifeguard, and a tip to all non swimmers, stay out of anything above 3 feet, if adults and for youngins stay in under 1 foot. also its never too late to learn how to swim, i teach an adult class, and its very structured and lo key, you will be with only other adults. give it a try to learn something new.
