Water Parks- are they worth it??

I love the water parks (been to both of them). You don't have to spend all day there like you would at a theme park. We like to use that as our "rest day" usually midway through the trip. We sleep in a little, get to the water parks around 11, stay until 3 or 4 and then go to Downtown Disney for dinner, shopping and DisneyQuest (which, I think your teenagers will love)

In my opinion, I say get the WP and more option. You don't want to feel limited on your first trip, you don't want to feel like there is something you can't do. Get the option and go with the flow.

I am freaking in love with Typhoon Lagoon. I have been to WDW more than two dozen times, but we just visited TL for the first time in May. Other than our upcoming December trip, I'm making sure to schedule our next trip for when it's warm enough to visit the water parks (in my world that means it needs to be close to 90).

For me, TL was like having a beach day on a WDW vacation. It has a great tropical feel to it that I can't get from a resort pool, not even Stormalong Bay (which I also love).

BB didn't do it for me as much, but that could partly have been that it wasn't quite warm enough for me on the day we went (a couple years ago in April, I think). Plus, the theme isn't quite as compelling to me. But I'd definitely like to go back sometime. People who are looking for more thrilling slides tend to pick BB.
