WATER PARK to DTD to AK?

We plan to do a water park (BB or TL) one day, arriving at opening then going to Planet Hollywood for late lunch/early dinner.
After meal we want to go to AK for late Magic Hours - think that means open until 9 PM in May.

What time do we need to leave water park and make PH ressies in order to enjoy AK for at least 3 hours?
I was thinking leave water park 3 pm and ressies 4 pm?
Is there a direct bus from DTD to AK or do we have make our way back to POP to access AK meaning more bus time?

Leave the waterpark in time to take a bus to your resort, change/shower, and take another bus to DTD. Once you're done at DTD, take another bus back to your resort and transfer to a bus that goes to AK. Or, you can take a bus to AKL and then a bus to AK.

I would leave the waterpark by 1:45 to get to a 4PM dinner ressie, especially with clean up time.

In General, the waterparks are best enjoyed first thing in the morning, as soon as they open, until about lunchtime. After then, they just get really crowded. The problem is, that buses become scarce mid-day.

Another issue would be that there are no direct buses from Downtown Disney to the main parks, including AK.

For your planning purposes, note that Typhoon Lagoon is geographically close to Downtown Disney, while Blizzard Beach is relatively close to Animal Kingdom. While your best bet would be to leave the waterpark and go back to your rooms to shower and change, this may not be practical. Very possibly, you could do Typhoon Lagoon thru early afternoon, the change and go to your meal at Planet Hollywood, then go back to your resort, drop off all of your wet stuff, change into park clothes and then hop the bus to AK.

Personally, I'd skip PH on that day, and just have dinner at Flame Tree or Tusker House, which are both pretty good.

There are no buses from BB to DTD. You'd have to hop a bus to Coronado, Old Key West, or Saratoga and then transfer.

From TL to DTD, you'll have to take a roundabout route though Old Key West or Saratoga (same bus).

And there are no buses from DTD to DAK. You'd have to take a bus to AK Lodge, and transfer.

Apparently Water Park --> DTD-->AK is a BAD idea!! LOL
Glad I asked.

I think we will switch our water park day or PH plan.
DH just gave the thumbs up for Cirque so I have to rethink some plans anyhow.
