Water Park Ticket Upgrade

If I buy a one day water park ticket and decide I want to get a water park (only) annual pass, can I upgrade the ticket to a pass and just pay the difference? What time frame would this have to be done in?

1. Yes. (You could even upgrade to a full AP with theme parks and water parks.)
2. In most cases, as late as within the same day that you use the original ticket.
