If I purchase the refillable mug at one of the water parks, can I use it and substitute my drink for an additional side at one of the quick service restaurants?
Thanks

Likely not... that's not how the refillable Dining Plan mugs are supposed to work.

If you are trying to cut back on paper cups, then you could buy any souvenir mug and pour it in there. But if you're trying to get an "extra" off the menu by pre-buying a drink, no, it doesn't work like that.

I think the only "wiggle" is, if you HAVE Dining Plan, and you have your mug, because your Dining Plan meal comes with a drink, you can grab a to-go beverage from the case. Milk, water, juice, soda... We were always refilling our mugs and stocking up the Park backpack with the bottled beverages each morning at the food court.

Please re-read the OP's post. They are specifically asking about buying the WATER PARK refillable mug, not taking their resort refillable mug. If they BUY the water park one, can they then use the drink entitlement on their dining plan to get a snack instead of a drink AT THE WATER PARK.

Yes, I'm wondering if I have the water park refillable mug and the dining plan can I substitute the drink at the water park quick service restaurant for a snack item? Thanks

Sorry I should have answered you when I answered the other one.

In all honesty, you're going to have to ask once you get there. The wording that allowed you to sub a snack credit for the drink entitlement is no longer on the brochure, and it is being allowed less frequently. The ONLY place that consistently allows it is the resorts. Most places in the parks are NOT. Since the water parks have a refillable mug, I would say your chances are decent that you can, but even if someone has done it in the past, it doesn't mean they will be on the day you are there.

Oh riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. I don't know why I always forget the water parks have all these different rules and exceptions and programs. AUGH. Sorry!
