Excited to try a water park for the first time but have some questions.

I assume people just put their valuables like wallets/phones in a locker? Are they safe there?

Can you pay for food with your MagicBand?

Do people usually wear water shoes?

My wife keeps her phone in a waterproof pouch. But I usually leave mine in locker. Yes lockers are safe.

I’m pretty sure you can pay with a magic band.

Some wear water shoes some don’t. You can’t wear them on a couple of slides.

We always use the lockers and have never had issues. Yes, you can use a magic band to pay for food. We don't wear water shoes. They have water sprinklers surrounding most paths to keep them cool. I would prefer not to take them off and carry them on the slides.

We always leave our stuff at our chairs and have never had an issue but we only stay at most 3-4 hours. I wear water shoes the whole time because I have plantar fasciitis

Our last time which was in Nov., we had no issues with hot feet without water shoes, but I've typically preferred shoes in past trips that were mid summer. But there are big slides where we'd leave shoes with our towel near the attraction.

We always rent a locker and leave valuables in there, and that has worked out fine. If one of us is going to lounge all day (my mom in law), we've gotten away with leaving backpacks with valuables zipped inside with that person. But we've seen reports of theft while at the water park. It's always tough to know if a person grabbing stuff at an unattended lounge chair is the owner or not. I'm not sure if prices have gone up since the $10/$15 for lockers, but it was worth the piece of mind for us.

Yes to the locker, peace of mind. Also yes to the water shoes there is a lot of walking. I didn't carry mine on the slides I just kick them off when I get in line then go back and get them after. Entrances and exits are for the most part close together

I use a waterproof phone pouch. I always bring a credit card and stick it in there as well ever since we were at Typhoon Lagoon once when the Magic Band system went down and we couldn't use that to pay for food (luckily I also had a Disney GC on me).

We don't usually use a locker. We all wear water shoes and rash guards and leave our bag wherever. No one is going to steal sunscreen and bottles of water. Although now my kids have Rx glasses so we may get a locker next time because losing those would be a big problem.

Water shoes are a must for us. Last time we managed with my phone in a waterproof pouch and a bag with stuff we weren’t concerned about (sunscreen, chapstick, etc) left on a chair. Paid with magic bands and Apple Pay. Ordered our food on my phone.
